There is one poke you can go search on and that is at Carquest. I had to replace a sensor where the original connector wouldn't fit on the replacment sensor, but they do have, what's called 'pigtail connectors' - where you snip off the original connector and replace it with the newer 'pigtail connector' by splicing it back on the existing wires so it will fit on the new sensor.
Most of the plugs on our cars were manufactured by Mitsubishi Cable America; if you see a logo of "SJD" (where the "S" is a little lightning bolt) molded into the plug, that's who made it. Unfortunately, that doesn't help you much; MCA won't deal directly with the public, unless you have a significant quantity order to place. (In the past, they've been receptive to trying to find a one-off part for people in need as a sample.)
Almost all of the plugs they produce, however, are some derivation of a plug made by Tyco/AMP, JAE, or Sumitomo (or you can sometimes find a Bosch plug to mate with them, if you squint at it a little bit). Most of these companies offer engineering samples, if you need one or two of something for a personal project; just poke around their website a bit to find it.
I've been collecting ECU-related connector information for Evos over here, which might give you a starting place for some of them; my best advice is to get very comfortable with the product catalogs from Tyco, JAE, and Sumitomo, because you'll be visually cross-referencing is most cases (although Tyco's online search is actually pretty good; Sumitomo's sucks, a lot). In a perfect world, I'd love to see this tech article updated with actual manufacturers and part numbers for each plug (and a similar article written for 1gs, of course).

There's quite a few people to thank for what's there now; 0xDEAD/danl, in particular, tracked down most of the IX stuff (and probably at least a few of the 2g/VIII info), I think I was the one who did the legwork for the 1g plugs and pins, and I believe Jack_of_Trades and mrfred were probably to thank for originally pointing us in the right direction for the VIII/IX pins. I'd only be guessing if I tried to remember who found the EGR or BCS plugs. I take very little credit for any of it, other than filling in a few gaps and tracking down commercial sources for some of them.
I'll also note that it's a wiki, so I'd encourage folks to create an account and update it if they have information to add; the information there is pretty Evo-centric, but the Development section is pretty free-form (and is slowly accumulating some 1g information for the Evo ECU swappers).
Yeah, I ordered a bunch of pins from them as well, and linked to them in my post above; pretty painless to deal with. I think onlinecomponents.com had a bunch of those older pins as well, didn't they?
