Anyone know where I can buy the connector for the speed sensor on a 95 Talon awd? The previous owner somehow melted it and I have 3 wires connected to nothing. I'm tired of having a non-working speed/odometer.

I believe the 3 pin connector from the MDP sensor plugs in the same, I can check later.

I have not had a chance to verify it on my car yet. And I am heading out of town for a few days now. If you still have your MDP connector, you should be able to look at the keying on it to verify.
Also, there is a link on here that shows the 2G electrical connectors, and the VSS and MDP appear to match.

I do plan to verify on my car, it just may take a while. But you should check yours, just in case there is a difference

Forgot to update this but I went and checked and it is the same connector as the MDP. I'm just going to remove the plug from the MDP and use that instead. I have emissions cel removed in ecuflash. Hopes this helps someone else :thumb:

Yes, the plug MAP/VSS are the same on a 2g.
Also there are some other plug connectors that are the same from each other.

For future reference here are some from a 2ga.

MAP/VSS
AC/Crank/Coil,
MAF/Transistor,
ICS/Injector Resistor
Fuel pressure solenoid/EGR
Fans/Cruise Control Actuator/O2 Sensor
Hood Switch/Knock sensor/Back light switch

Don't quote me on this, But Looks like the Head lights plug connectors are the same as the Cam sensor on a 2ga.

There are some other once that are the same but I don't have the time to post them right now.

Were the terminals on your VSS connector still OK?

JNZ has the MDP/VSS connector, and there are probably some other sources too.

The only reason I suggest that, is that depinning those JFC connectors can be a PITA. So you'd be better off cutting off the whole pigtail, or just putting a new connector on the VSS. I never would suggest cutting off a harness connector, if you could use it later for something else, like a boost sensor.

And of course make sure to clean the heck out of the connector that is molded into the VSS. Otherwise it can leak even with the new connector.
