Hello everyone I am a rookie into the 2024 DSM platform , i recently personally picked up a GS-T and wanted the community’s feedback and tips.
I noticed when I got back home that the marks on the camshaft looks off
I used to own the 3rd generation Eclipse so I do have some type of mechanical knowledge.

You should make sure if the timing mark on the crank plate is in position exactly at TDC again. There is a chance that you didn't set the crank timing mark exactly when you took this pic. Because at least I see that you have both IN/EX cams in phase correctly.

Thanks for the feedback, I just bought the vehicle from Missouri
It’s been sitting for the past 3+ years

depending on the context of the picture, and you saying you use to have a 3rd gen eclipse; the marks usually never line up if you just look at them after the car has been running

did you just replace the timing belt, or did you just walk outisde and randomly look at it?

So I just recently bought the vehicle. I was doing a deep inspection and just noticed that just wanted to check in with the community .

yeah so just taking a picture of the top doesnt tell us anything. you would need to rotate the crank with a socket on it to line up the harmonic balancer to the timing marks on the cover and then look at the cams to see if they line up. otherwise the car will only have the timing marks line up naturally after 6 crank revolutions, and the odds of turning off the car and all the timing marks be aligned is statistically very low

Not sure if you have the Factory Service Manual (FSM) for your 2G but if not you should.
Here's all the timing marks that need to be aligned at TDC on a 2G 4G63. Not shown are the marks for balance shaft B and it's belt.
