brake rotor drip marks?

Just want to know if this is normal and if they will wear off once I actually put them on. These are the overstock rotors from Machv

Try hitting it with a bit if brake cleaner. See if that works

More than likely oil coating or cosmolene of some sort to keep them from rusting on the shelf. Brake clean should take it right off.

Tried brake cleaner on them twice and no success I think I'll contact machv

looks like just some surface grime. im sure once you put them on it'll go away.

Did you use a scotch brite pad? I agree, judging by the lack of rust and corrosion in your pic, it might be some kind of protectant.

Probably lubricant to keep moisture away. brake clean may cause a squeek, try good old fashioned soap and water.

took a scotch brite pad with a lot of elbow grease and its slowly coming off.

Yea its protective film for storing them so the dont rust some more elbow grease and the should be back to normal
