Hello everybody.
(First of all, sorry for my bad english!)
I'm from Brazil and i'm having two mysterious problems in my 1995 GS-T

1: When you release the throttle pedal, the car cuts the fuel, right? And.. Wideband marks "---".
My car was doing it perfect. But.. One day... PUF.
Now, when i release the throttle pedal, i count 8 seconds and only after this 8 seconds, the ECU cuts the fuel.
Don't matter if im in 3000rpm, 4000rpm, 6000rpm or any gear.. The car only cut the fuel after 8seconds.. And it starts few days ago.. Before, it was working as well.

2: This is the MYSTERIOUS.
My car is 100%. Working like a clock full time... But if i throttle 100%, when the turbo spool (1bar), the car.. How can i explain. Sputters. The ignition fails, you know? Like an bad coil or spark plugs. Despite this, i can go to 6500 RPM! But.. sputters... a lot

I changed the ignition coil, the spark plugs, spark plug cables, i found ALL fake air entries and correct it, i made the fuel pump rewire, i check the ECMLINK and tried many adjusts, i tried a new maf, a new mdp, new power transistor... I don't know what to do now.

Important things:

I was running with 1.0bar in my FP68HTA. The problem only appears when the turbo spool. The cars works perfect until reach full pressure.
So...
I reduce the turbo pressure to 0.7 bar and... Same thing happens
If i use the car with... 60... 75%... The turbo doest not fill and i can use the car as well.

I really don't know what to do to resolve this two problems :-(

>> I'LL POST A LOG, THEN YOU ALL CAN SEE! THE PROBLEM HAPPENS IN THE END OF THE LOG! <<

Now, the car specs:

2.3 Engine
Pistons Wiseco 9.5 86mm
Original Rods 4g63
Crank 4g64
Original Head
Walbro255
AEM Wideband
ECMLINK v3 lite
FP68HTA @1bar (0.7 at the moment...)
1200cc precision injectors
spark plugs iridium 9eix
compression ratio: 240 per cilinder
horsepower: 335 in crank, 290 in wheels @1bar

I can do/answer everything you all advice me. I don't know what i can do to resolve this.. I'm using the car normally.. But i really need to resolve this problem. (Both)

Thank you! You are my only hope hehe

You can try to reduce the gap on the plugs to .020. That should make sure you have no spark blow out. I run my plugs at .018 but I am also running almost 3 bar.
I think some other folks will probably chime in and give some suggestions.
I am glad you became a member, Welcome!!! The people on here are very helpful and most have quite a few years of experience. When you get a chance, please make sure to fill out a car profile so everyone can see the modifications and the details of your car.

I'm not an expert. Your check engine light is on. 0100 Volume air flow circuit malfunction. Your airflowperrev should be around .25. Your idle switch isn't working but I think 2gs don't have one. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. You're running MAF?

No, no no.. Sorry about the Check Engine Light.. I changed the MAF in a day before it.. And i turn on the car without the MAF.. .I forgot to clean the error in log :p
disregard this error!

But i don't know what to say about the airflowperrev .25 and the idle switch...

The gaps are very closed! .5 (Its 0.05, i guess)!

Your plugs are gapped to .05? That could be an issue right there. The stock gap is .028 but wouldn't hurt to gap them to .024-.026 and see how the car runs.

Your first problem sounds like a throttle position sensor(TPS) malfunction or mis-adjusted.

Idle switch is integrated into the TPS on a 2g. Could be a misadjusted tps.

I'll try to change the gaps so!

About TPS:

I adjust in ECMLINK. Full throttle = 100% and Open Throttle = 0% It's fine... IDK why it takes 8 seconds to cut the injectors...

As Josh and Marty said. Double check your plug gap first and see what happens. Did you just buy the car?

I will do it!

I bought the car 3 years ago.. Since them, i've done the engine, change to stroker, i replace every single piece i could.. The car was 100%. But these two problems have now appeared

I will try the gaps!

a mechanical adjustment? Because in ecmlink (notebook) everything is ok

Go to ECU Config
RPM/TPS
Simulate idle switch from tps - check this box
and save to ecu

I was reading your post again. So when you get off the gas pedal, does the engine take a long time to slow down? Think that is what's happening but your log is too short.

Yes. 8 seconds to start the cut off! Before... it was instant! I get off the gas pedal and cut off instantly.
P.S - The log is to show the problem #2! But i will record a video today! And will upload here!

Start with checking the plug gap since that might solve #2 of your post.

I'm having problems to remove one of the four plugs. Damaged screw threads... But i will try to replace the plugs and change the gap in this weekend. I will post the results here

That's not good!

You can buy a spark plug thread tap or thread chaser to help clean up the threads. I had a spark plug mess up the thread in my #3 cylinder so I used the tap to fix it. Pack the gaps with grease to catch the aluminum that comes off to keep it out of the cylinder.

Also swap in some NGK BR7ES spark plugs.

There is also a way to use an old spark plug as the tap or thread chaser. Cut two vertical slits in the side of the spark plug on each side and pack it with grease to catch the aluminum shavings that come off, like this:
