Chicken his wasn't full 3", it had quite a few different sized pipes welded up LOL, but anywho i do agree on your outlook overall in the long run.

Justin i agree with you as well, i think i will save up a little more and get the dumped o2 housing and be done with it.

Thanks olot guys for the help !

It was mostly 3 inch, except for maybe a few inches of the exhaust.

im runnin a 3.5" exhaust, with my 14b and stock internal gate. I would creep from 12 to 20+. put my ported 2g manifold and external tial 38mm on, and all creep went away. btw, if your interested in purchasing a full dump setup...let me know through a pm

OK so now that my car is running good and all and i got my new waste gate actuator put on i now have boost creep. i decided to turn my boost down to 8lbs so now when i step on it it goes from 8lbs at 3000rpms to 10lbs by 7000rpms. is this OK? and for those of you who stuck with me on all my problems i thank you guys. im so happy to be driving my car again>>>:D

Going off your profile, uh, yeah, that's fine. How exactly did you turn your boost down to 8 PSI?

Ok, sorry guys it has been awhile... I had work, college you know how it goes. But all your suggestions helped! I was looking over what was wrong but, I consulted a turbo professional a well know buddy. And he said the first thing he would check would be the actuator, which I thought I did correctly but apparently not I took it to him and he tested it with a hand pump compression gauge.

Apparently the guy I bought the car off of was a cheapo on only one thing and it was a turbo set up, so I took my actuator to my buddy and I never noticed it but the bracket on the actuator pump was welded on :p, he said he has never seen this before and was surprised to see this because he said they usually tend to blow up if you get a lot of heat near them..

So we figured out that he bought a cheap Chinese knock off  that was not opening the waste-gate until 21PSI aaaHa! :thumb: So I bought a new actuator off my buddy because he has every-single kind of make and model turbo/waste-gate/actuator.. And now she is running solid at 12 pounds!! No creep at all!!! YEY! :hellyeah:

I would like to thank everyone for their advice and am sorry for my negligence and me being stupid, I have learned alot since then about turbos and setups! And would like to thanks you guys for dealing with my stupidity! I hope to be sticking around here for a while, as I slowly rebuild the car. Again thanks a bunch!

HANG LOOSE AND BURN RUBBA! :thumb:

Burn rubba? awd? nahh.. it just f'in goes. LOL

Glad you figured out the issue, and it was nothing to serious. It's a valuable thing to learn early on, that you are not perfect and will make mistakes. So many people refuse to accept they might of tested something wrong, and deny a possibility. Months later after their buddies help them, they say it was what they said it couldn't be!

if i was to add a 3in megan exsaust with no cat to my bone stock 91 talon tsi fwd. would it cause a creep?and if so what excactly is a creep?could somone please tell me i don't have a clue i am new to the talon and turbo thing all to together?

It probably would honestly. But you can always get your turbo ported.

Someone explained creep very well in your other thread about the cat. Just putting it out there though, try not to make multiple threads on nearly the same thing. I know this is titled differently and initially asks the same question, but boost creep was covered very well in the last thread. Usually if mods catch on to this threads will get deleted and if it happens alot you may even bet temporarily banned or even a permanant ban. Just saying.

91 eagle talon tsi fwd if i have boost creep from 3in exsaust no cat.is i put on a highflow cat. will it fix this problem?

Port your O2 housing and turbine housing. That might help fix it. A high-flow cat shouldn't make much effect on it at all.

Please remember to use proper spelling, punctuation, and capitalization (full sentences, in other words) in your posts. It makes your posts easier to read and to search in the future.

I don't think it should cause a creep but i am just getting info for those who know more then i do.And yes it is a cat. delete.
