I’m in the process of replacing my 1997 eagle talon’s timing belt but have seem to run into an issue. The timing cover has these long bolts that I can’t seem to get out any tips for me on how to make this less a pain?

I can't recall if I raised or lowered the engine to remove it. I should after doing this more than 5 times. More than likely lowered the engine since it seems the strut tower would be in the way above. I know for sure you will need to unbolt the front engine mount to get enough movement from the engine.

I’ve taken the front and bottom engine mount off and the engine still will not give enough room for the bolt to clear tho

Something else must be holding the engine or you aren't pulling the bracket at the right angle. I've never had too much trouble removing it. It won't just slide right out, you've got to put in some work and wiggle it once you've got room.

I literally just did this to my buddies 95 I removed the crossmember that bolts from the front rad support to the back. You then have to raise it up as high as you can but be careful or you'll break the tps. It's extremely tight but you can wiggle it enough to come out. It's not easy so be patient but it will come out and going in will be just as much of a pain.
