I replaced every gasket on my throttle body other then my shaft seals because of this damn boost leak around the throttle body, i was reading that the auto parts store seals don't fit as well as OEM.. is this true?? Or is it okay to go down to the auto parts store and buy some?? Any help is appreciated thanks..
I had them professionally installed and it was a very big boost leak before I did. You want to make sure you have your idle control stepper motor set right in ecm link if you have it (I got v3 full) and make sure that it's a good i.c.s. by testing the ohms if you have the equipment. If you don't got a tuning software that logs i.c.s. value then I'm not sure how to go about setting the b.i.s.s and i.c.s. Also make sure everything is put back together exactly right if you do it yourself or take it to someone. And if your b.i.s.s. looks worn out replace it while you do your seals it's only a few bucks!
