These ebay fmic kits are both the same why the $145 price difference?

Who knows....but have you ever seen a car with that setup mounted? Looks ridiculous enough that I'd never use one.

There are better options.

Don't get me wrong they could be baller IC kits but..I'm pretty sure those are the ones you have to cut..And also get a bov flange welded on....

Ohh that's why..That looks stupid..

If your not afraid of some cutting and welding, it's not bad for the money

That's going to be some noticeable lag in your spool time. Being that you can't afford to do it right then yes you should buy it and while you're at it drill some holes in your bumper.

Find a nice ebay core and do your own custom piping, that way your intercooler setup doesn't look like it was put together by Hellen Keller.

for $350 you can get the vr-speed 1g fmic kit i highly recommend it is very easy install with very little modification well worth it:thumb:

much better but for the price i will still suggest a vr-speed fmic

I've just received my vrsf 1g kit this week and for the money, forget ebay!!! Go buy VRSF kit and you will not regret it!!!!!!!!

this guy is selling the same kit as the picture on that 1g above used 3" core intercooler with long route piping,1g bov flanged on the piping, and jpipe for $200 i think thats a rip off? it comes with no clamps or couplers either.

i have one of those kits, but i picked mine up for free, im low on cash so im debating on runnin the kit the way it is, or save a bit of cash and custom make the pipes the short route on the 1g gst..what yall think? is it gonna lag?

Any personal experience with this kits regarding spool?

If you must run it...punch the hotpipe through the core support/headlight bracket area right below the passenger headlight...that will save a couple feet LOL.

Is it going to lag? No, the extra 6 ft of piping, with how the bends are, actually help with spool times.

Don't buy this kit, don't run this kit. Unless you plan on fixing the piping because the core looks decent.

From the diesel world, where turbo charger and intercooler efficiency is at a pretty high standard, most manufactures recommend no more than 360* worth of bends in an intercooler system, from turbo outlet to intake mani inlet. Looking at the eBay long routes that rule is far exceeded taking into the fact that from turbo outlet to intercooler inlet is 180, then the outlet of the intercooler makes a 180 right off the bat, let alone the 90 it needs to go to stock SM location then the 90 it needs to go up through the stock piping hole then another 90 atleast to get to the tb area then the 90 going to the tb. So if math serves me right that is 720* which means your air is doing 2 complete circles to get to your engine, for the money your better off with vrsf or PR fmic's.

I just bought the short route style with the short core but its wider. Seems to be really good quality, I passed this one up because of the length and bends. Kinda looks like someone got bored and just started throwing shit together honestly.

well im happy to say, that like i mentioned earlier, i have this kit, and well my brother and i custom made the pipes and we still pretty much used all the bends except 3 of them, and i still get full spool at 3,800 rpm i get 15psi....and when i turn up the boost i get 20psi@ 3,600..spool time remained the same.

i could post up pics if you want to see them
