I find that there seems to be alot of confusion when it comes to people choosing spark plugs, and weather to go with BPR7ES, BPR8ES, or BPR9ES.

So people who are running these plugs, post which plugs your running, and your current setup :thumb:

factory with exhaust, mbc, and I use BPR7ES

Yea there is a lot of confussion since all three of those are not the correct choice for any dsm. You want to go with the NON PROJECTED type plugs. Like BR6ES, BR7ES, BR8ES. I left the BR9ES out since almost everyone under 600whp should be using BR8ES or under.

BR6ES-Stock-20psi
BR7ES-20psi-35psi
BR8ES-35+psi

If nitrous is being used, you want to go a stage colder for each 50 shot or more.

Jay What you said is what was said in the link provided where it was highlighted red towards the bottom of the screen.

Are you meaning to leave the "p" out of the plug type or is there a BR6ES instead of saying BPR6ES

BR6ES and BPR6ES are two different plugs, The P means potruding.

ngk BPR7ES's
30psi
.025 gap

BlackGst. You should go a plug colder

0.028" gap is what you want stock. If you have a new spark system like a dynatek dis2 then you can have a larger gap which is a good thing.

no actually, i shouldent, unless you have some type of proof...

E85 burns cooler and the car loves the stock heat range a buddy of mine is running the same plugs and he is boosting 30+psi

I always had great luck running the protruded tip plugs when under 30 PSI. The non-protruded plugs help fight against spark blow out in high boost applications.

I run BR8ES plugs gapped at .018". This is with 40+ PSI on race gas and with a Dynatec CDI box.

At 400 WHP on race gas and a 50-trim (27 psi), I was running BPR7ES plus gapped at .028" on the factory ignition.

Im running a set of BR7ES, non-projected plugs. 50 trim @ 25-28psi, 2.5inexhaust, 1050cc injectors, DSMLINK, stock motor except 264/272 cams, 2g maf

14B @ 16 psi. Lots of bolt ons, stock fuel. BPR6ES @ .028 gap. Ran great until I exploded a cam, going to be running the same setup until breakin is over with, then get link and a 16g.

I take it you will be moving to a 7ES right?

Anyone have more information about the use of ethanol and temperature of the plugs?
I plan to use with 30psi 16g pure ethanol ... and would like tips on what plugs to use.

2.4L 9.5:1 compression, 18psi. I use BPR8ES at .025 gap. 7s at the same gap misfire in my car over 15psi. Changing the plugs here soon and I will try new 7s with a .22 gap.

I'll walk in Brazil, and here is pure ethanol with 2-3% water...
but also serves e85 and experiments with methanol to know what are the right plugs. I'm thinking about what a friend said about using hotter plugs instead of cold..

i think you would be fine with either BPR6ES or BPR7ES try your gap @ .022

i fouled out a set of BR9ES when i 1st switched to E85 in 1 pull (i only was running the 9's for the hell of it, just to try em out on pump gas) so i wouldent recomend the 8's or 9's

since my last post i have been running the br7es plugs and approx 32-34psi untill i broke my front diff atleast.
