Well they are on the way now. A full set of M&H Racemaster 24.5x8.5x15 slicks and a set of Flat Black Rota Slipstreams 15x7. The slicks are courtesy of Mr. Aichele who got me a great deal, thanks again! 2013 is shaping up to be fun!

Go get it man!

Wheels are on the truck for delivery! I'll probably be leaving a signed note to leave them if they arrive while I'm working but they might not accept that as it is a sign on delivery package. Sometimes they'll take the note, other times they require the electronic signature. I hate having parts coming and not being able to be home to get them! But, if I can get them today I'm going to drop them off to get mounted tomorrow.

When do you hit the track next???

As soon as possible! Hopefully sometime next week or weekend. The boys at Force Engineering were trying to get everyone together for next Friday's Midnight Madness event at US 131, might try to make it but it'll be extremely busy in the lanes I'm guessing. I'd rather do a weekday test-n-tune for trying to get multiple passes. If things go well but I'm dealing with only getting a few passes in I might pony up for one of the "track rental" days eventually.

Just got home from Atco, couple of us went down for some test & tune. I finished up my AWD re-conversion a couple weeks ago and got the slicks mounted on the new wheels. Picked up some E85 and tweaked the tune. First pass off the street was 12.11 @ 111 with a 1.56 60'. Next pass was my best of the night, 12.03 @ 112 with a 1.54. I did pull a slightly better 1.537 60' on a later pass but I missed 4th.

It would've been nice to finally crack 11s on the 14b after all these years, but I'm more disappointed that the car isn't trapping higher. My old car went 112 full weight, this car is at least 400 lbs lighter and has virtually identical supporting mods. It's also on E85, which should be good for some power over the VP103 unleaded I previously ran.

All in all, I can't complain. I've got a new personal best on the 14b and it drove to and from the track and didn't break. Hopefully I can get the MPHs up to the 114-116 range, I'd love to see 11.5-11.7s out of it before I put the HTA68 on the car.

Good job Steve! Didn't even know you were getting the car out there! SOOO close to 11's, must be an awd thing where it's tough to crack that nut. I'm just glad to see someone out there doing it and LOW 12's on a 14b are nothing to be disappointed with!

My wife is awesome and despite the fact that UPS did not leave my wheels at the door she went to the distribution center and picked them up for me while I was working. I'm going to have them dropped off for mounting today!

Nice work for your first time back out!

Was there a change in height with the tires you ran last time and the slicks your running now?? If the slicks are shorter you will lose a little mph. I wouldnt be to upset about the mph loss as long as the ET is quicker. Hell look at my car 11.2@126. I would be more than happy to trade some of that mph for a few tenths of ET.

Your so so close to that 11 Im sure youll get it next time out.

Do you know how much the total weight of your car is??

Well I pulled it off :rocks:

I pulled off a 11.300 @ 117.16 to claim the #1 AWD spot on the list! With a 1.42 sixty foot! I'll update a whole lot more later, probably start a personal thread on the track visit. For now I'm trying to get the video uploaded and the timeslip etc.

Congrats man. The tires hooked a lot better than I expected. 1.42, wow very good. That's getting out. Hope you can keep it goin this year. :thumb:

Congrats Shane! You seem to make it look so easy. LOL

Awesome man! That's a huge drop in ET right outta the gate this year.

Equally impressive is the 1.42 60'. And some were saying 1.3x on 14b isn't possible. You're damn close.

Congrats!

####in' A man! Congrats! Been a bit of a road for you Shane, but you're there now. 1.42 is suh-weet. I know you are going to post later, but please tell me you backed it up with a reasonably close number?

Sweetness

Yeah, wish I could say that, :banghead: But, no I was told pretty strictly to slow down or go run NO ET by paying more. Decided against it right before a car smucked the wall and confirmed my decision. But, I'll get a chance to back it up I'm sure.

Shane, you gonna re-do the list here?:hellyeah:

As for a back up pass......I credit the short shifted run as a back up. And, you drove home. That's the big one. If you broke on that pass, different story. Get the issue fixed, next time out you'll have a back up pass.

I only ran one 11.4 pass. Next quickest pass was a few 11.59s. The pass where the turbo let go 'appeared' to be an 11.57.

Just cause you asked :sneaky:

1. Joe Bucci 10.876 @ 123.83 FWD
2. Justin Aichele 11.036 @ 125.59 FWD
3. Shane Webster 11.300 @ 117.16 AWD
4. Nate Crisman 11.377 @ 116.63 AWD
5. Phil Beers 11.497 @ 113.85 AWD
6. David Womer 11.514 @ 118.13 AWD
7. Leon Reitman 11.642 @ 116.56 AWD
8. Nick Carleton 11.767 @ 115.93 AWD
9. Aaron Sadorf 11.76 @ 113.37 FWD
10. Lucas English 11.7X @ XXX.X - I know he ran 11.7 and blew up his 14b AWD

Wow. That is amazing. What does your car weigh?

Congrats, Shane! Great to see some 14b action this season. I'm on the same tires, good to see what they're capable of (I might have to try bumping the launch RPM next time after seeing how high you came out).

I got my car aligned and my total front toe was 1.6 degrees, and rear was .7 before (don't ask why I didn't do this when I finished the suspension work before running the car). I'm hoping this is part of the reason I'm missing some MPH. Ironically, I also left my pass. seat in as it was a last minute decision to hit the track. That alone would probably have squeezed an 11.9 out of it. I've definitely got some motivation to get back out now!

What all is left, and what all was removed?

Wow, don't even know where to start!

Full interior - all plastics, sound deadening, seats, consoles, etc.
Front and rear bumpers
N/S front crossmembers
Front and Rear swaybars
Spot weld drilled out U-frame (rear seat area)
Gutted doors (crash bar/associated metal)
1 Summit Racing Seat
Manual window swap
Canadian front seatbelts
lightened front dash
wiring harness gutted, unnecessary components removed
A/C everything removed
Heater controls/everything under dash
5 piece spoiler
headlights/pop-up units replaced with small driving lights
Carbon fiber hood
Ran open downpipe
Odyssey battery on custom aluminum mount
Rota slipstreams/slicks - removed a ton of weight there!
Megan Coilovers lost weight
aluminum driveshaft

That's off the top of my head, plus anything else that I could find to rip out of there.
