terrible idle after ecmlink install

I just got my ecu back from ecmlink. I had my friends ecu in the car for the time being since its my DD. Two days after i switched to my friends ecu i have a check engine light on. No running issues until i start pushing it a little bit then it feels like a miss. If i shut the car off while driving and turn it back on it goes away for a minute or two and then comes back on along with the "miss". I just got my ecu back from ecmlink install and runs horrible. It barely has the power to move the car. No check engine light but spits and sputters like crazy. If i give it gas it drops rpm's and will die and when i let off it will raise back up for a few seconds and also die. If i feather the gas it will run but very rough and it will spit and sputter badly. I tried to check for dtc's and it shows none. WHAT IS GOING ON!!!

Are you running speed density or Maf?? I had the same problem when going from 2g maf to speed density...the ecu wasnt seeing signal from maf. What ever it is your running make sure to configure that through link.

Make sure the settings are correct for the MAF and/or SD.

You DO realize that link is merely a TOOL for someone knowledgeable to tune the car with, right? If you're not knowledgeable enough to do it yourself, you still have to take the car to someone that is, in order to have the car tuned correctly. Link doesn't just magically tune the car for you, nor is it just like a chip that is manipulated for you. What injectors are you running and maf or SD?

I fixed it they had is set up for 1000cc injectors and a 2g maf (im stock). I went through and changed it. And if you are going to be condecending/smart mouth dont post at all. Im here because i needed help not to be talked down to. Thanks

I don't think he was really being condescending or talking down, it was more of a statement that if you are knowledgable of the program, all settings would have been checked and made sure you were correctly set up before posting. Believe it or not there some people that assume once you install something you are good to go...we all know that isnt the case.Glad you sorted it out tho.

I apologize if you felt I was talking down to you. As the last poster stated, believe it or not, there are people that assume once you install link, you're good to go. I was actually trying to help. This is why I asked what Injectors and SD or maf, because I was going to next advise you to go into the settings and make sure it was set as such. Glad you found the problem though!

I appreciate the help. I'm just a new link user and had just got got my ecu back. When I insalled it the car ran like crap. And I was in a hurry to fix it because I had to drive it to work the next morning. So I posted on here as fast as i could to get advice to help figure it out as I was troubleshooting it. I did get it fixed that day before anyone posted but I did not have time to get on here.

I fixed it that day before anyone posted yet. Wow ignorant people amuse me. You really need to read threads before you try to put your two cents in...

For future reference, if you ever have a question in regards to link, posting a log will be the quickest/easiest way for everyone to help. It will tell us more than you can.
