What amount of duty cycle on the injectors are you logging?
Anytime, buddy. It's always a pleasure to be on board for your projects because I know there will always be an exciting conclusion! We should have kept track of how many Garrett / PTE / Turbonetics / SBR turbos you blew in order to get to this point!
Congrats!!!! Glad to see you come back after the oil pump issue!
Car is moving. Look forward to seeing it dip even lower
Congrats to Dave on all of the hard work, dedication, and getting a HX40 (built by yours truly) into the 10's with 2.0 on a limited budget!
The third pass of the evening was the best; Dave dipped into the 10's even with a sub-par launch and 60ft. Sadly, he was only the third-fastest 4-cylinder in the street lanes, bested by a Dodge Neon R/T that was fully built and turbo'd (10.5 @ 135), and a VERY stock-appearing black Evo IX that was insane. The Evo was having a tough time getting a good launch together but ran a 10.8 at one point, and the last pass of the night the car trapped 140mph! WTF
Keep in mind this is being done on a very conservative tune (10.7 AFR's on VP110) at just 30-32psi. This is literally the tune that got the car running following the full build over the winter. Once the boost is upped, Dave gets some seat time to get used to his new setup, and Ricky does some fine-tuning, who knows where he will be.....10.4 @ 138?
if it was it was Gizmo, that car hauls and is very clean SRT swap.
Thanks man!! I have been searching around for slicks today, im going to pick up a set and put on the shelf! I want to crank the boost and do some more tuning, and try to get a 10.5-10.6 before switching to the slicks... Also would like to hit 140mph, but one step at a time. My fastest ET that night was 133.46 so not too for to go, but could take another 100hp to get 140mph..

That would be him, as denoted by his vanity plate reading "GIZMO".Hmm did the R/T happen to be blue with silver stripesif it was it was Gizmo, that car hauls and is very clean SRT swap.
...I'm glad someone is finally showing the real potential a HX40 has. I kept reading power levels of like 650whp but only running mid 11's
Keep it up Dave!
