WOW! Id' lower the car a bit if you can get away with it.

He's got the Eibach Pro-Kit on it already if i recall.... I've got some Sportlines he could toss on ...but I'd say coil-overs will more than likely need to be considered sooner than later.....

Can I sit in your car too? I hope by the time its the shootout this car will be in the nines. any talks of putting the hx35 back on to shatter the current record?
The in car video rivals a nasa shuttle launch.
Tune my car for me?

This is definitely going to happen.

We're curious to see what the limit of the .70 a/r T3 BEP housing will be as we already have 12cm divided HX35 users trapping mid 130's on a few different cars, and Gabe has already trapped 133mph in a full-weight 2G using a HY35 which has a smaller turbine housing and wheel than the HX35.

The quicker spool of the HX35 would be pretty sweet- less chance of dropping out of boost between gears, but then again you're giving up almost 10 lb/min of peak airflow.

Got any pics of the new setup?
Just pics of the turbo at this time, unless Dave has some engine bay pics to upload.

^ In the first pic you can even see the tiny chip out of the tip of the blade on the bottom right-hand side, showing that this turbo even comes with battle scars. LOL

The announcer: "145 mph, where did that come from?!" ROFL

Great job! You should definately post a log of that last run.

wow, I really feel proud to work at Cummins now, and I'm going to ditto most of the other people and say holy crap the ass end of that thing sunk on take off, and also nice job that car was getting it

Thanks guys! Thanks for everyone coming to watch it run, and supporting me!!!
Thanks Ricky for your tuning, and helping me with everything on the car to get where its at right now! Justin; thanks for keeping the turbo nice and fresh for this year!

As for a log, thats up to my tuner Ricky (dacowgod), if he wants to share it! Its his work, not mine...

Here is a few pic's of the engine bay!

I'm really starting to second guess myself on selecting the .55 mitsu housing for my hx35. i know the way my car sits its not going to trap 130 in the 1/4. Maybe 115-120 but not 130.

BTW, What transmission is in your car currently Dave. The way your shifting it looks like parts should be laying on the track. I know if I did that to my trans parts wouldn't be found in a several mille radius from the bomb going off. If it will hold up I would recommend turning on nlts. This thing will be into the 9's easily. How street friendly is the car? Is it a straight drag car or is it still registered and insured to go out for icecream on a friday night? LOL. You answered my questions about everything except if I can sit in it at the shootout. I'll take that as a no.

I should definatley be at the shootout this year and would like to meet you as well as Justin and Ricky.

Very impressive!!! Big Congratulations on the big MPH.

Shep v4.0 I believe. It's been built and re-built so many times I can't remember what the final number is.

How street friendly is the car?
Seems to drive OK, but it's not very friendly in traffic and it doesn't like bumpy roads too well.

Is it a straight drag car or is it still registered and insured to go out for ice cream on a friday night?
Registered and legal.

Haha I'm feeling the same way about my .55 dsm housing, maybe me being an auto it will help with the spool. How much does the car weigh?

Very nice runs. Thats some serious MPH. I would have liked to see what the hx35 would have dont on slicks. In first gear I had no traction and wheel hop like crazy.

Is your car running a Curt Brown cylinder head? 145mph... WOW! that's hauling the mail, in a hurry! (If I recall correctly, 135mph requires a chute, and 11.49 and under requires a 5 point harness, among other things correct)?

Dang that's so awesome justins good job dude cant wait to see this thing run 9's! :hellyeah:
