My tachometer hasnt worked since i bought the car. it is a 95 eclipse gsx. I understand that the white wire on the pin near the coil pack is the tachometer signal. However, on the pin there is only a little piece of the wire, it has been cut. could anybody tell me where this would go to? could this be the issue?

The C-05 connector is the middle one of the three behind the combination meter. You can also get at it on pin 6 of C22 connector behind radio: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=136009&d=1332009478.

However the signal source is that white wire from the PT. So if it is cut it will do you no good to go elsewhere.

so in order for me to get the tachometer to work id just need to run a wire from the little bit left on the pin near the coil pack to the c-05 connector?

Unless your wire harness is trashed you should be able to just reconnect that little cut wire on the PT to it's proper connecting wire. Only if there is not a complete circuit (or a short) should you have to reroute the wire to the places in my post 2. C-05 connector has it's pin numbering as 21-28 up one side and 30-37 up the other side with 29 in the middle. It's a big connector and you have to remove the combination meter (or cluster) to get at it (it's on the circuit board on the rear side of it). It's not the easiest thing to get at. Is your dash all apart or what is your situation?

wow sorry to get back so late havent been on lately. As far as my dash goes everything is completely together. like i said i was just diagnosing as to why my dash tach didnt work and the first spot i looked was the first connector.. which is where i found the cut wire. I partially cut the sleeve where all the wires are going through but found no sign of the other side of the white wire.
