I thought you guys might ask that and he never mentioned it in his email. I would have to say that it wasn't just 93 octane since he wasn't shooting for a pump gas record.

It isn't that those numbers aren't possible on pump, it's that he's only running 550's.

I emailed Keith to get some more details. He said that he used about 1/2 93 and 1/2 C16. He set his base fuel pressure at 50 psi and made a few pulls at 15 and 20 psi. It made 355 at 15 psi and 401 at 20 pounds. After the dyno, he tried making a blast down the street and even in 3rd gear smoke was just rolling off the tires (FWD).

Could you make any ballpark guess's as to what those numbers would be on the H-3??

Thats about what I was guessing. Very good numbers for whats done. Although he ran on half race gas, but still, bigger injectors, and then see what numbers he pulls.

Yeah, I tried to talk him in to 650's and another run at 24 psi. But, he said "Its plenty fast now and didn't want to chance it on a stock bottom end".

Would anyone be interested in a Water-cooled V-trim? I can special order this turbo with a watercooled bearing housing. However, I would need to have at least 5 sales lined up.

at 20psi on a vtrim, thats almost hard to believe, i mean i would love it if it were indeed possible as thats the turbo im geting, but thats alot higher then expected, i was expecting 300whp at that boost on those injectors'

oh well, we'll see when i get mine, its going straight to the dyno to be tuned with a dsmlink

if it would work with our stock water pipes without much modification, i would be down for that, sure, put me down on the list

i can buy one as early as 1st of dec after i get my paycheck, LOL

The same supplier of our oil feed and drains will gather up the fittings we need to hook up the water lines. Please email me your information, name, address, and phone number. I dont need payment until we ship, however I need to be sure we have at least five customers. Thanks

Mine is water cooled but you have to cut the stock pipes for it to work. I got brass fittings from home depot for the turbo and used braided steel line from the fittings to the stock cut water lines.

is there a benefit for the extra trouble?

Theoretically, there should be a long term benefit. Its supposed to reduce the chance of oil "coaking" around the turbine side of the bearing housing. Over a long period of time this can cause the turbo to smoke. On the other hand, most of our customers rarely keep their turbo or car long enough to experience this. However, if its an available option, why not have it. If we start to carry this option, we will have a water line kit that will make installation a breeze.

which injectors do you think willl work best with this turbo

650s or 750s from fic

i will have a rewired 190 pump as well

3 of you have signed up for the water-cooled version of our T04B V-trim. We need 2 more, if anyone if interested please let me know. Thanks

When will the water-cooled V-Trim be available? and is it the same price as the regular V-Trim?

I'm really interested in this turbo as my next upgrade, considering i'm only running a 14B.

I'll need one that's internally-gated though, the return line, and water lines. I have a feed for the 14B, i just need the fitting to make it adapt to this turbo.

As soon as we order them it should take a week or so before they are in stock. The retail price will go up about $30-40, but if I can order 5 at a time there wont be a charge for DSM tuner members. I have the return line and the fitting you need for the feed. As soon as I receive the first water-cooled center section, we'll work on a water line kit.

is it gonna replace the stock prebent water pipes or will it we be able to just hook those up, meaning, what exactly will you supply with the kit and what will we need to modify

Its still to early to be sure how our kit will work or what will be in it. It will be hassle free and will likely replace the factory lines. Unless a fitting or adaptor can be used to hook the factory line to the T04B turbo. I will have more information in the next week or two and will keep those who are interested informed.

thank u sir, ill be waiting on it and when it comes through i will probably just order from you, since i think you go the best deal for dsmtuner members, LOL

its not a big deal though, if not, i ll get the regular one, but i will be getting one for sure, the vtrim t04b with drain hose and adapter for feed since i already have a ss feed for my 16g

im a noob to how turbos work exactly, i was about to get a turbo timer, do i still need one if i got the water cooled v-trim, trying to configure all my mods so i dont get unnecessary parts , thanks

if you don't mind sitting in your car for 30seconds to a minute then no you don't.

Pianoman told it like it is. You get a turbo timer nd walk away or let the car idle up to a minute dependimg upon how hard you have been running the car. Mark
