I hear what your saying, but frankly the Speed Factor folks were on it and sent my order out right away. I have the 650 injectors and the ole super duper AFC here.

R n R Racing on the other hand collected my money a good 3-4 weeks ago promising to send out a 3" turboback exhaust. Normally I don't get concerned about waiting but I have been leaving voice mails for a week now inquiring about my order and I haven't even gotten the courtesy of a call back. (I will post the outcome of that later) The stock O 2 housing looked like it had about 50% of the capacity of the turbo when I bolted it on so I am really looking forward to the exhaust getting here.

On the other hand while I have some time during the wait I can install that nifty fuel pump, the injectors, and try to figure out that confusing as hell picture of the ECM in the Apex manual.

Randy

And Dave... Thanks for advice about getting new bolts to mount the turbo... That was a live saver. I would have been taking the taxi to work.

RNR racing is always slow. My friend waited a good month or 2 before he saw his exhaust

I am seeing 90 % duty cycle at 15 PSI at ~5000 RPM.

If I go to 20 PSI, its 100% at 5000.

I have RC550s. I would say you have to run at least 650s to run this turbo up.

I would recommend at least 750s to reduce the duty cycle to an acceptable level.

What kind of injectors are you guys running with the v-trim, and what's your duty cycle at?
I'm looking at some 780's used. Any major drawbacks? I'm running a maf translator now.
Will the v-trim flow enough around 18psi to keep the timing in check? If the timing's too high I'll need a chip, right?

Also, how are these big injectors with idle and fuel mileage, with and without a chip? I've seen some people run really crappy with bigass injectors. This is my daily driver.

I ws running a 50 trim which is a bit more than the TO4B and tried 720's and they were way too big, the MAF-Translator had to take out so much that the timing went skyhigh and got wicked timing advance and the knock that went along with it. I suggest 660's unless you have dsmlink or some other burned chip to run larger. 660's are the best all around injector, working with big 16G's up to the 50 trims, including the 20G. Mark

i set my base timing at 1 to keep timing down and little to no knock with 21 lbs maxed out my 720 injectors on 93 gas. on vtrim and 50 trim, pretty similiar. cant get much more out of the 720s unless i run race gas then u get mabby another 10 percent and more boost to play with. i recommend no lower then 720s. i had to run 550s for a couple days once and maxed them out practically still spooling up.

LOL i can imagine that! :p

Damn it! Picking injectors and fuel control is gonna kill me.

I think the e-manage is a good peice. How do you think it will run 720's and bigger?

Why get e-manage just get dsmlink and be done with it. 720's will be fine for this turbo

why ever mess with emanage when we have something like dsmlink....

i have the dsmlink and pte780's, at 18psi i get about 65% inj. duty cycle, flowing about 34lb of air on pump

I dont mean to change the subject but can anyone tell me where I can get quality bolts to replace the sorry OEM bolts to mount the turbo to the manifold? Especially since the material is different on the turbine housing.

65% at only 18psi jesus makes me rethink on getting those 750's i want. Damn if thats true then i may want to think about 850's or 880's for that matter

Yeah, I just bought new PTE 680's last summer. I hope they are enough. I only have about 1000 miles on them yet.

Sounds like you need to learn how to tune a little better. 50 trim and 660's, I ran 25psi on pump gas with base timing set at 5* all day long. Not sure what was wrong with your setup, but no way on earth are you maxing out 720's on 93 octane.

I just delete almost 100 posts of BS.

If you have a personal problem with the company contact them. Don't lay it out all over the forums. I understand that some people are trying to warn other members so they don't get burned as they were in the past.

Let the past be the past, if history repeats itself then those people will have learned their lesson and everyone else can say "I told you so".

Nice moderating, remove people's experience with this particular person. I though thats what discusion is for? Go ahead, delete this too. I guess people are only allowed to give good reviews here?

Do you have a personal investment in this company?

If we are going to let the past be the past, you should just delete every thread in existance, nothing older than one day on this board?

Guy's like Mike (noslo) have their head screwed on straight. Been around a while and know's what's up. There is soo much more to say about this topic, but I guess we can just bite our tongue's from hear on in..

i wouldnt mind if a company made a bad turbo.IF, the company stuck by what they did. but leaving a bunch of poeple high and dry after they made a mistake sounds horrible. IF, they really did do that. it sounds like some really bad biz ethics. even if this turbo works out good, im not sure if i still want to support the company by buying it. DID they really screw a bunch of poeple w/mutt turbo? i was never a part of dsmtalk and i havent been around dsms long enuf to know about it. like that othe guy said, i would like to hear what bullseye has to say about this. :talon:

This is a turbo discussion not a vendor discussion. I removed people posts who have no experience with this turbo.

BTW is have no personal investment in the company.

Again the topic is not a vendor discussion, it's a turbo discussion.
