Of course, we will send one out right away. You had an H-3?

Thanks, Dave, thats great! I have a V1/V2.

Could you also include a wastegate actuator arm? If you remember our previous discussion, mine was a bit chewed up and I was worried about it skipping a tooth.

BTW, the turbo has more lag like this, but pulls hard over 4500. I have to let off at ~5000 since the pressure climbs over 25 psi.

Ben from AGP turbo told me that the RS49/50 trim I have has a 360* thrust bearing. He also stated that the turbonetics he sells also have a 360*. I am tempted to get the RS60T. Anyone interested in a RS49/50 trim, internally gated with a VERY nice Bullseye turbine housing with less than 2k miles on it, excellent shape?
I'm trying to confirm that the RS60T has the same Bullseye turbine housing. The turbine housing is the best, very BEEFY and cast very smooth not needing porting. I love it! Mark

I have a question for everyone. Hypothetically, if you had the choice between a 2 year "No Hassle" warranty or a 360 degree thrust bearing which would you choose?

I only psted the 360* info because I was interested muyself and the ? was asked a few replies ago. The TO4b with a 2 year warranty sounds fine and why would such a good warranty be offered if the 270* was weak?
My concern is whether themRS60T has the Bullseye turbine which is a work of art. If it has the Bullseye turbine with te 38mm internal wastegate I will buy it and sell my 50 trim for a very good price and only 2000 miles on i,no shaft ply. The Bulls eye turbine is te best! ark

My rs49t has the bullseye housing so im sure the rs60t uses it too.

i think the reasoning behind dave offering the 2yr warranty is to give the customer real peice of mind. i mean imagine how well you could sleep if anything in your life had a "NO HASSLE WARRANTY" It gives the buyer confidence in the product and you can go out there and not hold anything back because you have a product that has one hell of a backing.

dave, its ron from jersey, i ordered the to4b-vtrim. have you heard anything about the drain line. i still haven't got it. its been a month now. thats all i need to get my car running. the turbo looks sweet sitting on the car though, just waiting on the drain. well let me know, thanks, ron

A month? We shipped your turbo on February 1st and we had your drain drop shipped from the Turbo Trader since we were out of stock. It went out last week so you should have received it by now. I will check with them tomorrow to see what happened to it. I apologize for the delay.

One of our customers couldn't round up the money to buy the last one we had so here you go. Link

Sorry guys, the test unit is MIIINE :) I've been following this thread all along, and finally I'm part of the club.

Can't wait to slap that puppy on.

I might come up with some interesting before and after numbers, since I just dynoed a few weeks ago with my 14b.

I just gone mine in the mail today, this thing kick ass. I cant wait to install it and get it on the dyno.

What is a good fmic for this turbo. I was thinking maybe the slowboy kit? or is that overkill on this turbo?

What would the best 02 housing be for this? I was looking at the hybrid connections one that slowboy sells but i havnt heard of anyone running it yet.

Dave,

Just so it is clear for everyone else as well, which oil drain kit should be used for a 2g with a 6-bolt swap? I was sent the 2g drain but since I have a 6-bolt in my 2g I am thinking maybe I am supposed to be using the 1g drain. Can you clear this up for me?

Kevin

According to our manufacturer for the oil lines you need order the one to fit the car not the motor. Nick will likely chime in here and elaborate for you on all the details.

OK, except for does this manufacturer REALLY know what's going on with our cars or do they just build what they are told to make?

What is the difference between the 1g & 2g drain lines? Seems to me that the turbo is in the same position on both cars but they use different oil pans. As far as I know, you can't use a 2g 7-bolt oil pan on a 1g 6-bolt motor. With that in mind, it seems that maybe the inlets on the oil pans might be in slightly different places so they require the drains to be different. Otherwise, I don't understand why you would have 2 different drain kits.

Kevin

The turbo trader makes the lines and they own a 1g and a 2g car with Garrett and Holset turbos in stock so they should know exactly what every application needs. Thats why we pay them the "Big Bucks".

OK, but what is the difference between the two kits?

The new 1g kits have an angled flange to keep the return line from hitting the motor mount, the 2g ones come straight down.

I don't believe the oil pan makes a difference as far as connecting the oil drain line goes. You can buy a 1g oil drain line to bolt a 16g series turbo to your 2g, I would imagine the difference might be in the length? Don't the 1g exhaust manifold stick out further from the motor?

The 1G has the motor mount under the oil drain. I don't know where the motor mount on a 2g is.

Also, if the opening at the pan was different on a 2g, that would be another variable.

Potentially 3 kits: 1G 2G and 1G in a 2G.

I have the new drain flange, and it will help out with any of the configurations because it is slimmer and has a 15 degree angle.

Can you post a photo of it? I want to see how it differs from mine. I don't have the angled flange.

What a clever idea. ;)

The 1G flanges have to be angled to clear the motor mount that is on the front of the motor. The 2G's do not have this motor mount in the same place, therefore they can have the straight flange and not have any problems. Other than that the oil lines are the same. They use the same flange on the oil pan and are the same length.
