Looking great! Happy to see the transformation into a more reliable drivetrain as well as you will thoroughly enjoy the increased streetability going to an auto.

Sooner or later my dumbass will do the swap, but I want to hit low 9's first on a helical 5-speed.

Good luck with the buildup and I look forward to seeing your outcomes!

Nice Davies Craig EWP115! Did you get the pump controller also?

I have had no issues with this pump, but I did need to chase the threads on the inlet/outlet with a 1" NPT tap to clean them up a bit and used teflon tape on the 1" NPT fittings (I am using -16AN in/out adaptors).

The pump is almost completely silent.

Ill have to dbl check the threads then thanks for the heads up! :thumb:

Here's some pics of my setup if you needed ideas for placement of the pump. Granted, I am running a side-flow one-off radiator, but you get the idea. It fits great next to the ABS box in the driver-side fender well and worked out for me since I deleted power steering and had plenty of space to work with!

Good luck!

Some people have been asking what the fittings I made are for so here is some more info and pics to clarrify that.

I'm going to be running coolant directly to my head this year so instead of just welding some AN fittings on I decieded to make something that can not only be switched to a different head but also if the AN fitting is damaged that too can be switched out :)

This is the timing belt side fitting and is a tolorance pressed in fitting

This fitting replaces the stock thermosat housing

Are you putting coolant into both ends of the head? Thats what I was going to do. The coolant holes in the head need to be made more symetrical and a bit smaller on the outsides and bigger towards the inside to promote more flow towards the center sence your not trying flow coolant a certain direction, but instead from top, outsides inward and down I'm thinking lower side block for exit maybe 2 places.

No I'm not putting coolant in both sides, in one side out the other :hellyeah:

Here is a fixture we did up to allow us to drill out bearing for use with aluminum rods. For anyone that doesn't know you need to run a dowel in aluminum rods to keep the bearings from spinning.

Here is a stock 6 bolt rod that was machined flat
bearing.JPG

Then machined the rod out and pressed in a hardened insert for the drill to ride in

Here is the final version done and tested :)

Here is a tool we made to press the dowels into the Aluminum Rods

That is pretty much what we did for my engine, except for the fact that my set of Groden's had locator pins that weren't perfectly centered, so we needed to use 4 rod caps, 4 dowels and 4 fixtures to make the bearings work. Sucked balls.

That's scary someone can sell an aluminum rod that can't even make sure the dowels are all centered :(

What are you going to use to control/shift the transmission? Nice work man. Im selling my Evo to build a 2gb auto talon as well. Should be a pretty fun project.

Already got a stock 2G shifter :) and I will be using the AEM to control the trans :hellyeah:

Well I pulled the plug this week and parts are ordered things should start coming together soon :)
Want to say a big thank you to everyone including Myles at ER for a Honda guy your okay :) Jeff and Lucas and Arron at ER, Tony and his dad, Corey at Brake Man, Steve at SJM, Mike at ETS, Justin at Comp, and Kevin Kiggly, Will at Supertech, Ziggy at RTM and anyone I missed!

Came to a depressing realization that even though I started this project way over weight compared to the guys I'm racing against that between my cage and trans I added another 200lbs on to my car
