Ok well I have read around and I have been reading about the wastegate mod where it involves taking apart the wastegate actuator and yada yada but I don't really feel like going through that just so I can get a little more out of my tiny 13g. Now when I replaced my old wastegate actuator with the one that is in it now I had no trouble boosting 17lbs and now i'm at a sad 14lbs. :notgood: . Now my question is what can I do to get this wastegate actuator to hold a little more boost? I have read something about putting washers somewhere but I have no clue what they are talking about. Also is there anyone that has some sort of custom/bootleg design they have done in the past to make it hold more boost? I just want to get the most out of this little shit before I get my 20g very soon. :rocks:

I would love to do that but I would rather save my money for the turbo =). But I tried the shimming thing with the washers and it worked alright I guess. Now i'm boosting 17lbs and falling to 15 by redline. I guess i'm somewhat satified for about 5minutes of work and a couple of washers LOL

If all you want to do is make as much boost as possible, weld the wastegate shut and give it hell.

It's still going to drop boost as the RPM's climb and the engine gobbles up available airflow, but you may be surprised what it'll make from 3500-5000.

Ya I notice that right now that this little turbo is pretty kickass in the midrange power but it runs out of steam real quick LOL. But isn't running the wastegate open going to give me the same result as welding the wastegate?

what you can do is get a MBC and do it that way OR you can just take the little vacuum hose of the wastegate actuator and it will run full boost.... if you want haha!
but watch for fuel cut!!
