I have searched all afternoon but have not been able to find an appropriate answer.

I was hoping someone could tell me if it is okay to run the stock wastegate directly off of the boost source nipple on the turbo (t25) rather than using the bcs or a mbc. I read in my Chilton manual that when testing the actuator, to not exceed 9 psi or so as it may damage the diaphragm.

So in short, will it be okay to hook a vacuum tube up to the boost source on the turbo and plug it directly onto the stock wastegate actuator? I'm getting a little boost creep from my 3" downpipe and want to take the mbc completely out of the equation as I'm not really trying to make power right now.

Thanks guys.

Yes, that is fine.

You will likely run a lower amount of boost depending on how you had your boost controller adjusted before. This will act the same as having your MBC backed off fully (assuming your MBC can adjust below wastegate spring pressure).
