Sticking speedometer

Okay so today I discovered that my speedometer is sticking, It sticks at about 75 mph and will stay there till I slow down till about 60mph when it finally gets "unstuck" What could be causing the speedometer to stick?

It's most likely a faulty VSS. (Vehicle Speed Sensor) It's located on top of the back of the transmission, right next to the mount.

If the VSS checks out, it could be the speedometer itself. I replaced my VSS, as it was the most probable cause, but the actual cause was gauge. Just something to keep in mind if the VSS isn't the issue...
