hamilton,
Hey Everyone

I have a 1998 eclipse gsx and it wont start. i boosted the car and i think my friend put the cables reversed. I changed the fuse and relay that popped but solved nothing. Also now when i remove the key from the ignition some of my warning lights stay on ex. oil, battery, antilock. Dont really know what to do next.

well i think he wasn't paying attention and connected the cables opposite. Meaning he put negative on the positive side and the positive side on the negative side. When i removed the cables they were pretty warm, actually a lot warmer than usual. So now when i start the car its turning over but just wont start and when i remove the key some of the warning lights stay on. Thanks for replying

If she turns over, there are three checks. Fuel, Spark and Compression. Most likely in your case you dont need to check compression. First off, check your spark. Next, check fuel.

Thanks for the replies, it was the fuel pump relay and mit relay. you guys have been a great help
