K I'll try that.

Hey sorry for not being of much help I was on my phone! ok
Now lets see if i can help you did you did anything recently to the car before that issues start, do you have any obdII scaner? do you have any mods on the car? Don't buy anything if not needed. First do a full diagnostic, scan the car for codes if any code appears troubleshoot it, if no code then start searching under the hood for any unplugged ripped or missing hoses if u don't know what some thing is post a pic here someone might be able to help you. I see you have a non turbo so forget the bad A/F mixture (unless you have mods) check your air filter and change the spark plugs they are cheap gap them correctly if the problem persist see if you are getting spark in all four cylinders you spark plug wires might be bad too, at last do a compression test or even better a leak down test... some one else can chime in probs I'm missing something. good luck

The only mod is the air intake. I listend to it when i start, and i don't hear it until I rev up and slowly drop it til it idles with out shutting off. I don't know if that's any help.:idontknow:

Make sure your MAF is still connected. Some people seem to think that they can remove it when they put on a cold air intake then run into problems...

There isn't one on there on the 420a . From what i read on other threads.

Yes that is correct no MAF in a non turbo, the DO have tho an air flow sensor if í'm not mistaken is right before the throttle body, make sure the wire to that sensor is properly plugged in and also check your ISC/IAC. Honestly for me the first thing i would do is to check for codes do you have the CEL on?
It only happens at cold start or both?

Man the CEL (check engine light) it is supposed to come on when you turn on the car and after a few seconds it goes off but if your is coming on and off while the car is on the for the third time check for codes... autozones should do this for free I think sorry I'm not from US.
