You guys do know that when your CEL light is on the ECU puts it into a limp home mode that locks the timing and fuel and makes it run like dog piss, right?

No that is wrong, it does not go to limp.

where did you buy that sexy ass line?

There is a hydrolics shop I deal with for work I just took the master and slave there and he made the line. You must have 6' to do it clean that what I have it was round 80 bucks.

You have a LSD rearend and you put in a 5spd non-LSD rear end, correct?
If so,can you confirm if the passenger rear axle the only one need replacing for sure?
I might be getting a non-LSD so I can use it until I rebuild my bad one.

oh yeah, where do they sell those ss lines? I've asked everywhere and noboady had them and it was too $ for a custom fab so I made one myself.

Correct that is what I did. The passenger rear and front and drivers half shaft need to be replaced for a full AT/MT swap in your case the NON LSD CV shaft on the passenger rear is different.

See above for the SS line and where I got it.

PM me about that line, I want one. :thumb:

I dunno what a 1g uses here is what I paid for my SS line.

38.00 line -4 SS line
28.00 Banjoe for slave
26.00 AN fitting for master

92.00

It was more then I thought it was cause I bought something else as well. So there is is 92 bucks canadian for a ss clutch line.

a few quick questions - i'm at the very end of my 6 bolt swap now.

how many wires does the starter motor have? i believe it's the one on the post under the red cap and a little snap on connector. does anything go on the other post on teh starter?

looking from left to right on the ignition coil what order do the wires correspond to fron left to right on the valve cover? if you could take a picture of your ignition coils and plug wires taht would help. i'm not very good with text.

I also have a question, Whats up with our stock bov? I looked at dejon tools modded bov kit and it looks like a good idea. Any comments?

beleive it or not the 1g bov is a great bov, holds 20psi and stays put, works great and is avalible everywhere. im gonan run a 50 trim with a 1g bov, its beena proven bov. :thumb:

The starter actually has a couple, here goes. 2 Power one on under the red cap and the one that you describe with the the connector. There is also a ground on the other post from the starter to the post and also in the harness should be another ground from the battery to the bell housing.

I will have to get you the best pic of the coils I can. I will take one with the wire cover off to make it pretty easy to tell. Note I did not more the wires around I only moved the two wires on the coil connection.

For all those wondering I had it running on the weekend. Started right up.

It runs great on the hoist. If I can post video or if someone can post it for me I will take some with my DC. Had it running tonight to bleed the coolant out and all that but I do have my first problem. I have NO TACH signal at all in the dash or in the AFC. Im gonna make a formal post but Im not sure at this time what is causing it.

Pic to follow are of the oil cooler I installed the cooler was 90.00 canadian.

Here is the cooler I go the wiring isn't done and the fittings for the lines are cobbled together to run it but you get the idea and where it goes. The cooler does a pretty good job at idle on the hoist. The feed gets to hot to touch but the return stays cold enough to hold onto.

BTW tore the 7bolt down tonight she hung a rod bearing and had CW such a nice combination.

Damn man, that oil filter pipe routing reminds me of mario 3 on world 7 with all those pipes everywhere. Whats up with that tach signal though? Do we have noise filters that can mess that up?

Awesome sized cooler for the money. I think when I picked up mine it cost a bit more and seems smaller than that one. This thread has been most informative, I will be swapping ignition wires and adjusting the TPS when I get home tonight and hoping for a 1st successful start. :thumb:

Thanks guy I know the piping is messy I just wanted to run it I have to get the right hose made up.

Hope i get this tach sorted out though.

hahah thanks

Got the tach and AFC working just unplugged the transistor and replugged it back in all is well :)

So what do you need to drive it on the street? This is a cery good thread here man, we have just about all the information we needed for the swap. I am curious, did you do re-wire the cas or just get the roadrace rewire harness?

As for what it needs for the street nothing. I'm just fighting with a CV joint shaft right now but I think I have it under control, the damn clip just won't hold it in! I had it running tonight 30 mins playing with the timing but I want to make sure that I have it right before I post the procedure because I find the FAQ a little hard to understand. I have to find out first if I did it right.

Other then that waiting for shift cables STILL 5 weeks now ordered from dsmmotorsports last tues should be here soon. Everything else from what I can tell is fully finished and ready for the street. I'm sure some things will pop up they always do.

I know that looks like the full clutch line in the pic but I am almost positive you should find out before ordering if it goes from the Master on the firewall to the Slave on the tranny or from the little accumulator to the tranny there is a huge diff there. The price for mine was from a very good friend of mine making nothing on the deal. For SS teflon hose and the fittings I can't see it possible for that price.

yea but dotn forget huge buisness deals work on much much lower prices as they will sell twice as much then a smaller buisness would
