I have a 95 Talon Tsi AWD 5 speed. Mods right now are act 2600 extreme clutch, hks ssqv bov, walbro255, 560cc evo injectors, tomei fpr, fmic, injen intake, 16g turbo, megan 3 inch straight pipe, safc2, and a eprom ecu. I have 3 questions....

1.)When im driving and i step on the gas full throttle and let the accelerator go it turns off on me. Why is that? I was told by a friend that its because i need a recirculation kit for my hks ssqv bov that is vented right now. i dont want that pssshhhhh sound to be gone. How do i go about leaving my bov vented to the atmosphere without it shutting off on me??

2.)I have a 7 bolt engine and i am planning on making it a 6 bolt. What needs to be done in order to do that swap? I know i need a 1g block and crank, also i know i need to switch the motor mount and the flywheel. What parts from my 2g stay and what parts need to be swaped out??

3.)Will my current mods work with a 6bolt motor swap??

why do u recommend stroking out the 7 bolt instead of a 6bolt?? I thought the 6 bolts are stronger??QUOTE]

is not that the 6 bolt is stronger...for example you have a 6 bolt and 7 bolt laying their and you want to stroke one out(not the OP is thinking about is just an example) which one would you do if the 7 bolt is going out and the 6 bolt is in good condition...plus the 7 bolt is known for the crankwalk thats one of the main reason of what i think would be best...if im wrong anyone let me know

The only reasons 6 bolts don't crankwalk is they don't have a crank position sensor for the crank to blow up. You can check many 6 bolt blocks for crankshaft play and it's there. It's just not as lethal.

Also, if he is building a block, it doesn't really matter which one is in a good condition or not, as both will have to be machined, and new pistons/rods/rings are going in anyway. Since the 7-bolt is in the car he should just build the 6 bolt since it's already out, but if it was the other way around, then build the 7.

Really the only major difference is flywheel bolts and oil squirters.
