standard valves

how many ppl are making decent power with standard valves...i already have 1mm+, but i think i started going down the wrong route and venturing away from my acct. goals/budget...im thinking about returning my oversize and bronze valve guides for standerd valves and oem guides....to reduce the cost of machine work and save some money...i hope to get 500-550 hp...i have good springs already, i just need to spend the rest of my money wisely

I think oversize is overkill for most cars. I believe the new evos went 1mm smaller on the intake valve if that says anything.

thats awesome cause thats almost my exact setup....arias pistons,eale rods,2g head, 6 bolt bottom, holset h1e, forced performance beehives, going to exchange my engnbldr ss oversized valves for standard, and try and sell my bronze valve guides for steel oem ones....glad to see these numbers were possible
