montreal,
So i have a smim with no fitting for my pcv. For the past 2 years ive been runnung my pcv and cv into the intake and ive been doing alot of research and found out this could be disastrous for my engine. I dug up my 6 bolt IM and i removed the fittings from it and im going to tap the SMIM. The problem I have is that i dont know what size hole i need to drill and tap.

The other thing i was thinking is that i wont be removing the IM to do this so my guess is that i should open up the TB and run a vacum inside while drilling so i wont have metal shards in my intake when i start the car. Is this necessary? thank you in advance for the replys

Take the Intake Manifold off, do you really want to destroy something because of laziness?

Take the fitting to Ace hardware(go to the biggest store close to you), they'll be able to match it up. You don't need to re-use that exact fitting.
Anyway I think it's BSPT(British Standard Pipe Thread).
While your there get some of the liquid goop polytetrafluoroethylene or PTFE for short LOL. Apply a small amount to the threads while installing and your set!

Like said though, you can just go and get standard pipe thread barb fittings and run your PCV to that.

Instead of tapping my smim and making holes in it, is there anywhere else I can grab a vacuum line from? Like let's say can I use a vacuum port from my tb? I would put it In line with a catch can, would that catch can need to be vented?

The vacuum port needs to be after the tb. You could just make a catch can setup and not drill into your IM

I have a catch can setup right now but what I did is t into the VC and the PCV and route that into the catch can and then into the intake. Now I know this isn't right.

Also, what would I do if I wanted to run the fp intake that has no fittings for a line? Can I just get a vented catch can and put it In between the VC and the PCV?
