Been slipping hard on take off in the snow recently, car just spins and spins thinking it could be tires their definitely not great but 1st doesn't hook at all so im shifting extremely low to compensate. Also the clutch pedal itself is much much stiffer, it does happen to be -2 at the moment is this a normal thing with the 2g hydrological clutches?

If it's as bad as you say, you may want to get studded tires. The traction loss may also relate to your engine speed/clutch engagement. Try slipping the clutch at a lower rpm than usual.

But my biggest concern is that the stock differential in these cars are really terrible. It's an open differential that only drives one wheel at any given time. I could never get one to lock up even during straight launches on dry asphalt. I would definitely consider an LSD for snow driving, or any other spirited driving.

Thanks Black, always appreciate your input. It ended up breaking as I went back outside to drive it again so I think the clutch is just toasted, 172k and I've only put 3k ish on the car so who knows what they were doing before me. Anyway got it on the rack trans will be out and hopefully back in tmrw

Really? It feels like a toddler could push it in with no force its just nothing
Well that isn't normal. Maybe the lines aren't properly secured or somehow air was introduced in the system. Check fluid level & condition and visually inspect the lines before bleeding.

I did check the fluid and lines both are secure full and not leaking, I didn't put hydraulics in it should I have?
Only if they're leaky or heavily corroded. Double check everything and bleed the system with fresh fluid. Also check the two slave cylinder mounting bolts. If they have come loose the pedal will feel soft, as some of the travel is lost to the movement of the cylinder.
