I bought a 95 Eclipse GS, but I’m running into some issues to get the car back on the road. Clutch is slipping and won’t stay in gear while the car is running. However, it will shift through all five gears while off smoothly. Should I be replacing the clutch kit or slave cylinder, or both.

It sounds like your transmission is in need of service if it is slipping out of gear. That, to me, means that the mainshaft is probably moving around and it should be solid, so it's bearings may be shot. That issue has nothing to do with a slipping clutch though. That is just a wore out clutch.

Remove the bearing cover on the side of the trans and check your snap rings on both gear shafts. I had a similar issue very recently and the input shaft snap ring was shredded to pieces for some reason. That only explains your popping out issue though. The slipping clutch is either from a leaky rear main seal or worn clutch components.
