hey guys i got a stage 4 spec clutch this past week and have not had good luck with it. its slipping bad and it should not be. it slips as soon as i start to come on boost and dose not engage until the petal it at the top. has anybody had this problem?

i have the same clutch. i don't have that problem. it's very stiff for me. doesn't even really slip when i try to make it slip.

well i sent it back to spec it was slipping bad even when i went up a hill in 4th gear at 3,000 rpm it slipped. i called spec and asked them what they would do for me and they said send it back so i did. now they are saying i need a stage 5 witch is complete bull shit because i wast even making 100hp going up a hill when it was slipping. then they looked it over and said its because its not broke in yet i was like i cant even drive it wtf are you talking about. well i know i don't need a stage 5 but has anybody ran one?

^^Typical Spec response. Horrible service. The only thing they left out was that you "abused" it so they would not warranty it.

But yeah, their "stage 4" didn't work, so they want you to go ahead and spend more money on their "stage 5". Well that's logical :ohdamn:

I hate Spec. My advice (through personal experience) is stay far, far away from them (oh yeah, I ended up throwing out one of their "stage 4" clutches that had about 3k on it. It got real noisy and could not speed shift. Wasted too much money on their clutches).

yea i just about had it with there bull shit. telling me they will turn my stage 4 into a stage 5 for another $280. i was ok buy a clutch for $450+280=$730 when i could have bought a stage 5 in the 1st place for $480 why would i do that. when i am not Evan making enough power to slip the stage 4.

I had spec stage 3 and after 2000 miles I pulled it out and it was almost shot LOL... The throwout bearing was wearing the front of the clutch so bad they were about to fall off and the front of the clutch was rubbing so bad all the blue paint was gone ...I have heard spec was shit since this..
