Started to shave the fuel rail down because I wanted something a little different. Going to have an fittings welded in, then taking it to powdercoat. I'll update pics as I go along. if it all works out, I'll have them for sale soon. Let me know what you think so far. Oh, this is an oem 1g fuel rail btw!

If your going to start selling these as something on the side and its in batches rather then a 1 off then you need to become a freelancer as its going to be a service your offering! Sorry to be that guy but its just rules we all have to follow. Even thought its so small its still something your doing for the group and making money from (modifying) the rail.

And your also not allowed to talk about price either until your a freelancer!

Good luck with it though. http://www.dsmtuners.com/account/upgrades

i can just sell them on facebook offerup and craigslist LOL. you didnt even tell me what you thought about it jerk.
Thats fine as they dont have rule like we do, only making sure your aware of them rules so you dont breach them thats all.

Its pretty nice and its smooth,

Keep in mind semi decent billet rails are just over $100 what ever you do has to be good and then pressure tested and backed aswell incase of a leak or failure

I wish you luck in future

Looks good but it still doesnt flow any better. I guess its the same as shaved valve covers. Just for looks. This isnt something I would pay for. Like others have said the only time I would buy a fuel rail would be if it flows more and those are available cheap.

Is anyone wishing an eBay fuel rail??? Real question btw

Wishing?

Its a simple fuel rail. Its one of those, cant f*** up parts. If it doesnt leak its fine. Also the ebay rails are 1/2" ID bore which is a touch bigger than our stock ones. Comes with -an fittings and all the other hardware. For the price, its hard to beat. If your looking to go cheap upgrade.

Yup typo of the phone.... thanks for the response was just curious

ok, so how much hp has been pushed on an oem rail? can a stock rail handle 400-450? i could spend that hundo on something else! car came with an AEM fuel rail, but i am afraid its going to leak. welded fittings on an oem rail, cant go wrong with it. and we have boxes full of oem rails. i shaved my valve cover, and going to be powder coating my rail the same color. oh and you should see my shaved intake manifold. boooooy its clean!

fyi, stay away from ebay.

The AEM rails are good, they flow more and they use a simple o ring to seal but are also able to be upgraded down the road by just using now orb fittings! With the welding of fittings on your limited to that and buy another rail with bigger fittings but it won't flow anymore. Aftermarket rails are perfectly fine, eBay I don't use or can comment on but at 100-159 for a billet rail it's good price, if you got more important things to spend that on then your not ready for a full fuel system then!

The rail looks good. I would buy one if it was coated for ethanol use though which i don't think would be cost effective for you/us

That's the only reason to really upgrade. Not sure when a OEM fuel gets retrictive
