So i got dsm link... I set up my launch control, I want to set up my Anti-Lag but it's a totally different ball game. All I have right now is T-28 at 16 PSI,Megan Racing 3" DP,HKS Hi-Power Cat Back,Punishment Racing open Dump O2 housing. What should I have my Anti-Lag set to there's more involve than just putting in 3500RPM! LOL! Advice will help thanks!!
 
defintelyu don't need antilag on a t28, you'll cook that litle thing LOL

i run it on the street on my pt6776, i set it up today but i can activate it by switrch so it's not always active.. mine comes on at 4k RPM, backs timing to 2* ATDC, adds 25% fuel, and remains active untill i go past 75% TPS

so i'm cruising and some one pulls up.. I drop into the 4500RPM range and cruise beside him, the car barely goes and is building about 15-18psi, (this turbo usually makes that at 5500RPM) then when i floor it i have 20psi on before 5000 RPM all at once and 'm gone.. you don'e need it on a t28, just downshift to above 4k and that thing will be instantly full on

Thanks. And by the way its a FP Big T-28 Ported! :D hahaha! But yeah I was just wondering! Only reason I'm even running the thing is because I got a really good deal on it! I got it for 200 bucks! only has 1k on it! Dude spun a bearing so just quit on his build! LOL! - Ryann :talon:
 
bringing this back from the dead BECAUSE i need to work on my launch, i landed a 120mph trap in the 1/4 today on pump gas and 5 gal 110 unleaded mixed in i landed no better than 2.1 60fts on 32psi street tires (proxes 4) and ET'd a measly time but the traps people were getting all day were 11.2 @124 so im so close and my launches kept me from 11s today on my street tune and 25 psi on the holset.

so heres the thing. when i 2 step it sort of has a slow studder. buddy of mine told me in link in ALS i can make it studder alot quicker. i have my launch set at 5750 right now and im slipping the clutch while letting off the Ebreak.

i dont want so much antilag that its going to melt my turbine blade. id like some guidance since this thread is full of "why dont you use 2 step instead" so instead of making my own thread, ill ask it here. i have absolutely no experience with ALS and would like to be educated.

Enable antilag with TPS: what is a good throttle % to have this activated?
Use launch control with RPM: is this like standard 2 step? i am currently 2 stepping to 5750 is this what i would set this to?
And speed: what do i set this to? is this for between shifts?
use clutch cut with speed: same thing, between shifts?

hold timing: what should i hold timing at? 5*?

Enrich fuel by: dont wanna melt turbine blades...

During shifts: will be unchecked because i only want this for launch. ( ill be using NLTS)

Basically the later the timing, the more aggressive the antilag is but the more it will stress everything after the exhaust valves. The earlier the timing, the more it will stress everything before the exhaust valves, and the less effectively it will spool the turbo. Fuel enrichment is used to cool the exhaust, but gives you a more mild pop. Like how running too lean can melt stuff, but running too rich kills power. It's about finding a happy balance. I'd recommend starting with the stock settings on DSMLink, they're pretty mild but still useful.

Personally, my anti-lag is set to hold timing at 6.6° ATDC and enrich fuel by 0%. Due to running E85, if I enrich fuel enough to make a difference I foul the plugs right away, but with gas you shouldn't have that problem. I don't run NLTS so I couldn't tell you about the settings that have to do with moving. But with those settings and 5250 launch control I've put down 1.5s 60-footers spinning the hell out of my AA traction Pirelli's. I can build 20psi before the tree even drops. I haven't had a chance to try it with my snow tires, but I'm willing to bet I'll snap an axle. ;)
 
these are safe? i have my 2 step set at 5750 so is it still wise to have it start at 3900?

and how much should i be enriching on pump gas 94 oct, and then with 110 oct. (right now my tank is mixed both)

what afr should i be targeting on pump gas during the antilag launch? still 11's?

im thinking about keeping the stock settings but enriching fuel by 2% ?

I've been curious about antilag myself for some time now. Every time I search it just seems like noone has any answers or any knowledge about it in general.

At the strip I have to set my 2 step at 5750 to get off the line without bogging but the problem with that is, I only rev out to 7250ish. By the time I get off the line i'm just spinning or riding limiter. I'd like to use antilag where I could launch at a lower rpm and use my powerband but theres just too many questions...What is an ideal rpm to activate it? What timing is safe? How rich should it be? I've set it up before but I've always been afraid to use it. When 2 stepping with it on it just feels like I'm tearing stuff up and I'm afraid to launch at 20+ psi for drivetrain safety.... I'm open to suggestions.
 
I ran anti lag a few years ago on my awd. I did everything I could to get the car to launch without it. Mind you I was running a GT40r. Crappy spool anyways. I started with the settings link provided and felt they were way to aggressive. So scaling up and down I ended up at 20* atdc. That's as far as link would allow. It was enough that I could leave the line at 5750 at 25lbs of boost. I ran this way for a good year, year and a half. Now I don't remember what my fuel enrichment was but I didn't do a lot of messing with that since the biggest difference was in the timing changes.

but that's a lot of stress on transfer case

Over a year of launching and cutting 1.4s-1.5 and getting it to hit a 1.3, I never broke a thing except a few u-joints. Stock tcase, stock 4-bolt, and stock rear axles.
