2G Sensor relocation question

I just installed a ohm racing harness in my 99 gsx. The injector resistor connector is now inside the car as well as the ignition sensor. Question is they both where grounded in the engine bay, well they need to be grounded inside the car. Does anyone have experience in this matter??????

Honestly any bolt that goes to your chassis will work fine. Just make sure you sand down any paint so it gets good connection. I just did my fuel pump rewire and grounded my relay to one of the large bolts that holds the upper rear seats down. Look for any appropriate size bolt for the wire, sand and ground it.

But none of the wires are grounded it’s only the housing that hold the sensor Are grounded just seen if they need to be grounded

No. They don’t need to be grounded, they have their own ground source, the TPU needs the bracket though, the bracket where it bolts down works as heat dissipation, so leave the bracket with the TPU.

Transistor (Ignition sensor). The sensor is located between the fuel rail and the intake manifold and is bolted right a side of the coil packs.

No it doesn’t help, if you are having rpm reedness problems, you won’t fix it like that, Now IF when relocating the sensor, you bypass a Brocken wire (which could be the culprit) and get it to work, then that’s a totally different story.

It was reading before the whole wiring swap just Got to figure it out

Unfortunately, I can help on that. You have to do the hassle which you are the only one who knows what was done to the harness

However, you can track the tach wire and make sure it is wired right.
