ok, i have 97 eclipse gst. very lil mods. first thing i have read tons of posts today an d found very lil about what im having problems with. so im asking for help. ok in first gear it pulls really hard, but after i shift, u can hear turbo spool up and get all the boost its set for but it just seems like its holding back big time. it feels like its stumbling or missing or jumping. also does it at cruise at 60 - 80 miles an hr and it does this at wot. its not as bad if i ease in to throttle. it getting really crappy gas milage. less then 200miles a tank. its burning really rich. u can smell it at idle. also idles at 1,100rpms. if i cant figure this out i will have to get rid of the car. so ### all info will help me. im going to get ngk plugs right now and have the front o2 sensor ready to install now. so let me know what u think it can be or if u have a question ask and ill asnwer it. thank yall for ## time.

I was going to say have you checked/replaced your front o2 sensor yet, I see thats already on your do list which is good. If you have a CEL pull the code and see what it is if the front o2 doesn't fix the problem. If your bov isn't recirculated back into the intake it will show similar symptoms that you've described too. If your bov is recirculated like it should be and your front o2 sensor is good (cause you replaced it) check your fuel pressure at the rail, it should be 43.5psi.

yes i pulled battery cable. which i always do when i work on the car. ive done boost leak check, it holds 18 pnds but after 18 it just drops done back to 18. but now the issue im have is it not wanting to take off but after boost kicks in is gone. like if im sitting at a light and go to take off it doesnt want to go but then just takes off, it has all power in wot now but cruise and low rpms it runs like a snell. but like i said once it gets to 3 0r 3500rpms it takes off. also can still fill it jerk/or miss/ bump in cruise and low rpms now

It takes a bit for the turbo to build up boost, your cars probably running just fine if you did a boost leak test and it held at 18psi. Is your HKS bov recirculated back into the intake?

it is not recirculated, ive read mixed reviews on recirculated or not recirculated. i dont have the set up tube to recirculate it and dont know any place to get it anymore. im just now getting back in to the dsm world again and im little rusty. besides i had the 420a last time. so i dont know nothing about these cars well at least the 4g63 motors yet. also i havent had the chance to drive it alot yet to see if another code comes on. ill keep yall informed of whats going on as fast as i understand whats going on with car. thanks

my car is doing the exact same thing and i got the same set-up......i got HKS b.o.v. vented to atmosphere......

but i know that my air/fuel ratio is all out of wack and that is what is causing it to run rich and cut out at higher rpms.........

^ Rich between shifts I can understand due to the bov venting to atmosphere but what's the afr at idle? Sounds like a boost leak if that's the case do a boost leak test or like what the op did replaced the front 02 sensor or grab a multimeter, probe the wires and check if all is ok.
