No no no, he said.....

Exactly....and that is most likely way back in the 90's when Marc Hallman's full weight Talon ran [email protected]. Had 17" wheels that might have be a tad lighter than stock, not sure. But, other than that....it was FULL WEIGHT.

Ready to run down the 1320 for the last time in 2009...

Looks ready! Good luck!

Thanks Shane! About a week and a half to go! I had to put moldings and lower skirts on the doors.....they aren't that heavy and the car just looks so much better. I definitely want to go fast as possible, but I want some style too! Looks so much smoother with no mirrors.....and a bit less drag maybe? At 100+ MPH I would think it may help a tad....

Ok, well, here's a vid from last dragday in July. It's one of few runs in the right lane. NO, I didn't get treed that bad! I generally don't react at all to the lights. And, go figure, the only video I know of from that day is against a LOUD V8. So, I didn't react and he is in the way of the launch! And....you can't hear my car at all! It's awesome! I ran 11.70@112 on this pass, 1/8 mile was 7.44 @ 94.8. Anyway, it's something!

Enjoy!

good stuff, i've been waiting to see a video of that thing run. ...not that i have one ha.
Car looks really good in the pics, good luck Friday.

Thanks Travis! The vid isn't so great, they even cut the video before Doug announced my ET and they didn't zoom in on the boards at the end of the vid. I actually had to go through my timeslips to find out what my ET was. This was the wacked run after alot off cool down......94.87 in the 1/8(my fastest ever) and 112.97 1/4 trap.

Anyway, thanks again for the support, props, and luck!

I'll do what I can.

Stutter is wired, have to swap chips and give it a test.

A few other small things I may try to iron out before next Friday.

The main one being my lower I/C pipe TOUCHES my external gate discharge pipe!

I'm sure that's not heating up my aluminium lower I/C pipe during my runs!!!!!!:notgood:

It's always a work in progress................

Isn't it funny how a small list of things become more and more of a chore as race day gets closer. I'm sweating bullets over here with this trans and it's in the car and running. But about a week to go and she has to be ready to put the #'s down.

Oh yeah, there's always something to do, or make better!

Hopefully the trans will be fine with mor aggressive shifts. I'm rooting for you, and I want to see Shane get some runs in as well.

Keep us posted!

I'll be testing the stutter today.....without a launch obviously........

with out a launch? Isn't there some kind of industrial park you can practice at by you. I like to go right up the road from where Extreme was in jessup. Just on the other side of 32. There's a industrial park that has a quiet straight and flat strip that is about as long as a drag way. That's where i work the bugs out.

My car is no longer registered for street use:nono:

Did just test it and it all seems to be working fine. Unfortunately, no launch!

Glad to hear the stutter seems to be working well! Can't wait to hear about your trip once you get back.

Unfortunately for me my ecu is garbage. I tried replacing the caps but I still am hitting what "feels" like fuel cut at 4500rpms. I swapped in a buddy's ecu who was willing to sell it to me cheap and it no longer cuts out. Unfortunately that ecu has leaky caps as well, is seriously stinking like rotten fish, and my car really dislikes starting on it (have to crank for about half a minute before it starts).

The good news is I found a deal on dsmlink and may be picking it up. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks Shane! Let me see what I might be able to find. Don't throw those ECU's in the garbage, there are some guys out there that may be good enough with that stuff to fix them. My ECU wouldn't even start my car the first time I tried it, and it was fixed by a guy from Maryland named Dave Mertz after that. I've been running it ever since. He also made the basic chip that I've been running until today. Let me see if I can locate a 90 Eprom for you......

91+ I switched everything over. I'm definately keeping the extra ecu around...not purchasing the one that isn't starting the car though. Let me know what you come up with though! Thanks

Early forecast for next Friday is showers and 48 degrees. That's not gonna work. Let's hope the forecast shifts........:notgood:

Oh it's next Friday. I thought you were going to the track last Friday!
The suspense is killing me!

Yep, the 16th.....and as it stands, the early weather forecast will prevent it from happening, so we may be waiting til nest season......:notgood:
