Hey Guys,

Need some advice.
Currently have a motor with a built 1g Head that has been O-ring on a built 6bolt with ARPs and Mitsu MLS Headgasket. Looking to use it on my built 2.4L 7 Bolt.

I'm planning on running the Fel-Pro Composit headgasket. Should I get the one for 6bolt or 7bolt?

Also what kind of prepping do I need to do to both surfaces since I don't plan on getting them resurfaced.
I didn't have any issues with either blocks prior to tearing them down.

The head doesn't care how many bolts are in the crankshaft. It's the same gasket. As long as the head is straight and not warped you should be fine. I would have fresh o-rings installed in the head though. Same thing for the block, just make sure it's clean and straight. The composite gasket doesn't need the same Ra finish to seal that a MLS head gasket would. So, if head height/block height are in spec and both are straight you would just be looking at a good cleaning for both and a fresh set of o-rings to run on the new motor.
