well i have an appointment for my car to go to the dyno on tuesday of next week, and i plan to go to the drag strip on wednesday, so i'll have some numbers from my s258 (or s259 whatever it is) setup next week.

Tuning will be done on 91 pump gas, so we'll see what it can get away with, then i plan on throwing some race gas in the car somewhere down the line and getting a tune with that.

Mods are in my profile, and i'll post pertinent info/times/numbers/videos when i get my hands on em!

Just got my turbo I will be installing it tonight when I get hm. Sucks cause hurricane Ike is comming and i wont be able to play with it this weekend. I cant hook up when its wet out side.

Mine came today as well:thumb: to my surprise the hot side housing is polished;) I will be installing mine tomorrow. I spoke with david and he told me that he opened up the oil restrictor so that the turbo could get better oiling mine showed a little oil starvation as well. Just to let everybody know this is not a rebuilt unit it is brand spanking new! All I can say is that Bulleye stands behind their turbos 100%;)

beautiful!!!
so its a s258 now? Let me know how it spools with the bolt on housing. Mine gets 20psi at like 4400-4500rpm with the t3 .70 housing. I havent really done much tuning on it, so we'll see if i can get the spool down at the dyno on tuesday.

My turbine side was already polished. All he did was swap the turbine housing and the rest of the turbo is brand new. My battery was so dead car would not start. I have a two year free replacement. I could not justify going to spend 60 or 70 bucks on a new one . So i will wait until tommrow to start it up.

Danny, when you go to the dyno tell em you want the horizontal axis in rpm! The mph based graphs make it hard to figure out where spool happens.
You got yours pretty recently - do you know which turbine wheel is in yours?

Well guys sorry for taking so long to update! Too make a long story short, I would have had the turbo on by now but some fool broke into my car and stole my sound system , tools, engine hoist out of my yard and my laptop with my dsmlink cable attatch to it. The tool box that they took had all of the bolts related to my turbo so therefore i could not put the turbo on. Had to find/order the bolts that i needed. Also pleaded/begged with dsmlink to sell me just the dsmlink cable and to my surprise tom a emctuning sold me just the cable. I had to send a copy of the police report though. The cable will be here thursday so i still may be on scedule for a dyno run this weekend. I will update when it happens:thumb:

dude i made 500whp on a mustang dyno at 20 psi!!!

jk.... i knew i should have wrapped my exhaust earlier... My car was strapped to the dyno, getting ready to make a run, and my 2 week old alternator started dying...dash lights coming on dim bla bla bla...

Ended up "trying" to drive home but my car died on a bridge going uphil.. i had to get pushed by caltrans and then they towed me to a friends house nearby. In the 15 min that it took my pops to come pick me up from my friends i had the alternator out, so all i need to do now is swap a new one in, get it home, and deal with the hot exhaust.

Damn i love DSMs!!!!!

So sorry, no dyno numbers tonight, and no track numbers tomorrow.

I'll do my best to get things sorted out with the car asap and get some #'s for everyone. (gotta drop the trans and look into a few other small issues before the car gets strapped back down)

Well all my bolts came in today, my dsmlink cable also came in. So I will be getting the turbo back on if not tommorrow , friday. I will definitely be hitting the dyno up this weekend to see what this s259 will do:thumb:

That will be very interesting. I hope you have good insurance coverage on all that stolen stuff. One reason I live in an apartment is because they let me rent 3 garages. I don't think I could afford a house with a 3-car garage around here. Used to have one but big divorce took care of that! LOL

got the alternator in today and the car running and all, also bought some header wrap to wrap the o2 and downpipe. I'm going to have to go through the alternator wiring to make sure its all good and not melted or shorted out. The guy at the dyno wants me to look into this drivetrain noise that sound like it could be a TOB going bad or springs in the clutch that are fubared. The car still drives fine but it makes a wierd noise every now and then, which could lead to phantom knock and tuning issues.

I think i want to patent an alternator heat shield. Everone with an aftermarket exhaust frys alternators and lots of people lose their stock shields, so if we could just invent something to block the ps fluid drip and heat from the exhaust it would sell like hotcakes. I know i would buy one!!!

definitely looking to your s259 #'s kelatalon. Also any info on spoolup comparisons will be very nice.

LOL yeah I did a 3 hr road trip and luckily made it within a mile of my destination before the alt decided to retire. Hooked a jump box to the battery and made it the last mile. I have since welded a heat shield to my downpipe in a effort to block some of the heat from getting to the alternator.

Keltalon when are you going back up to the dyno? Im not going untill next month. I can tell a difference with the s259:). Alot pulls hard and im seeing full boost by 4100ROFL. I can do an awd donut now car does perfect 360s I had know Idea my car could do that:sneaky:. I coudnt be more happy with the new turbo. I ordered a chip and am putting it in now. Going to be running straight e85 now. I turned the boost down to 14 psi untill i get the tunning dialed in a little better. Im running maf gen 2 translator with the keydiver chip with the gm mas. Dude this turbo is loud as hell now. Sounds like a big ass semi just crusing down the street. When i get on it sounds like a jet engine. I got the car to idle and cruise great so now I need to dial the wot in and get the afr tracking dialed in with it. Im going to shoot for 11.5-11.8 afrs on e85. Should be fun.

sorry been away!. I got mine installed and i also knotice that it pull harder @ 21 than the 256 @ higher boost. Unfortunately i have run into some clutch issues. I will be taking out the tranny, it feels like the springs came out of the clutch disc. I had this to happen before car is doing the same thing.

That sucks, you worked so hard to get it back up...:|

so what clutch are you going with. I put my e85 chip in tonight. started tunning from scratch. Im at 17psi 18 deg of timing 0 knock. Need to get my low trims inline still. I should have it tuned and running 25+ psi by the end of the weekend. Going to add some more timing aswell.
