Well the clutch is in and the car run great. This 2700lbs pressure plate has a very nice pedal feel compared to my act 2600lbs. I will be breaking it in here inaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa a day or two. Boost issue is also resolved! Therefore I will be hitting the dyno is about a week so stay tuned.

Its an competition clutch stage 4!

Competition Clutch Stage 4 - Strip Series 1620 Clutch Kit - Modern Automotive Performance

They position the pivot differently than act therefore you get 100lbs more pressure than an Act 2600lbs but not with the stiff pedal feel! The clutch is of very high quality compared to the clutchnet dual friction one that I had in the car. I took pictures both clutches I will post them later with the dyno sheet after the dyno'

Well i finally broke the clutch in and step on it a few times the car pulls like it has lost its mind:D. I am very please:thumb: Now its dyno time;)

i was thinking of getting that clutch for my s259 setup, im looking forward to hearing feedback after some dyno runs and after youve beat it a bit!

I was also looking into the clutchnet disc with the springs that are all sealed in combo'd with a act 2900 pp

All s258s come with the 64/74 turbine. This is from David@bullseye. He says the smaller turbine wheel will not work well with the s258.

Well I will make this review nice and quick;) I have ran several clutches in my car from clutchnet to sbr. All of these disc i ran with an Act 2600lbs pressure plate. By far this is the best clutch set up for me. The pressure plate peddle feel is not as hard as the act 2600lbs but the clutch holds the power very nicely. I guess the double sprung disc helps with the chatter, because the engagement is not as harse as the clutchnet 6 puck disc I ran a while back. Here are some pics:thumb:

Alright guys went to the dyno today and I am not happy:( Results 363hp 333.3TQ @ 20psi:hmm: To make another long story short everytime we turned the boost up to anything above 20psi the car started to misfire above 5500rpm this meant, from my personal experience from working on my car in the past, one thing. Pushing coolant! Lets go back a couple months ago to when I blew the head gasket the car temperature reached about 246 degrees when I knoticed it I pulled the car over, shut it down , called a tow truck and had it towed home. Several days later I put a new head gasket on it not really thinking that the head might need to be surfaced. I was wrong. I think it should have been to ensure a flat surface. Its kind of funny that is does not push any coolant at 20 psi and runs perfectly fine. No oil water mixture, no overheating or anything it also sucks back in all the coolant that it pushes out while the car is cooling. So the moral of this saga, the head has to come off and have to be resurfaced. I will also check the block to make sure it is okay . I know thing for sure, when you start to make 400+HP be prepared to have all your car's weaknesses exposed and be prepared to spend time and money fixing them. Eventually I will reach that 500whp goal of mine:D Look at this picture some of the coolant we think is pushing out of the exhaust manifold only in this one area, and we suspect that just maybe the head has a slight crack in it. In the meatime I have about 4 heads setting at my shop and I will start porting on one as soon as I get this one off and the machine shop give me the verdict. So off the head come this weekend so stay tuned again.

That sucks ass. You just wasted the felpro permatorque. I reused a comtic that I had. I had bought a permatorque drove the car and spun a bearing around 4 moths ago. I had this comtic and said screw it. I put it back on its held for a while. 30psi its not liking it. I have reorderd a new felpro permatorque. It will be going on soon with the new T3 set up. Well Im pretty sure the block is still flat. YOu must have gotten your car really hot for it to warp. I have ran my car a little past the middle not to the completly hot but close. Im going to pull the head and take it to the machine shop make sure its flat before I put my 200 headgasket on there. My car only over heats on long hwy pulls @ 30psi. It could be the head lifting too. Im not sure on that one. I've thought about buying the l19 headstuds. I think Im going to wait on that though.

just this way on one side. The plate is very sturdy and thick. I don't think the springs are going any where. I purchased the stage 4

i think i might go with that clutch as well. It looks like a nice design.

Can you shift better than the act at high rpms now? (7k+) Ive always had trouble shifting good with these damn act2600's. I do however like the stiff pedal pressure, it gives nice feedback.

whole lot better. Don't get me wrong this one is not as soft as stock but also not as hard as the act therefore it makes it less likely to grab all of a sudden.

Here are some pictures of my old clutch net dual friction this is the third clutchnet for me that didn't last very long. The backplate is somewhat thin compared with the competition disc.

Well i went back to the dyno again. This time with fuel choice e85. this stuff is awesome! I was only able to run 25psi due to the fact that this put the 880cc injectors at 85% duty cycle. Since we were tuning it for all the time horsepower and not just a one time high horsepower number we wanted to stay on the conservative side. Overall i am satified with the numbers the car pull really hard. I will post the log when i get it off my laptop.

Yeah we felt it also:|. Barely though. We think it came from the coolant being pushed so after the dyno I pulled the head, cleaned everything up and now am waiting for the new head gasket to come in. We checked the head for straightness and are very surprised that more coolant wasn't pushed beacause the head was indeed not straight. The block is okay.
