did a 6 bolt setup in my car, and upon startup, pisses oil out by the balance shaft hump on the block near the water pump.. i used all new felpro gaskets and thoroughly cleaned the pump and block. used blue rtv, maybe thats my issue.

Do i need to remove the water pump? or any of the timing idlers/ motor mount?

Are you saying that oil is coming from the balance shaft hump as in the part of the casting that sits under the water pipe, alternator, and behind the turbo, or are you saying its coming from the front case directly underneath the water pump itself? Not all oil pumps are like this, but on one a builder installed for me and did a balance shaft delete on, there was oil pouring out from the bolt hole that the balance shaft pulley bolt goes in. Not sure why he didn't notice the hole all the way into the block, but I couldn't build oil pressure since it all came right back out and poured out the bottom of the timing cover.

Could you specify a little more clearly where it is coming from, or even better snap a pic and upload like was asked above ^^^^^

its leaking from between the block and oil pump case, near the hump on the block directly halfway between the water pump and where the alternator is.

I'm assuming the high pressure of the bse and a bad seal is causing the leak. it literally pools out between the block and pump.

There should be no oil pressure there, IF the BSE was done properly.

Sounds like the bearing was not flipped to block off the front BS oil feed holes.

The only other way I can see oil being sprayed out from that point, is if the front case is not tight or a bad gouge in the block, to let pressurized oil come from the main oil galley, spray in between the front case and the block, but it would also have to cross the the front BS hole.

The reason the front BS tentsioner bolt hole needs to be sealed is because it is in between 2 pressurized oil galleys.

**** Edit***** The front case gasket needs to be dry when installed, no RTV, No copper coat, if you just have to use something to help the gasket, Use Permatex Non-Hardening Gasket Maker

this is not down by the tensioner bolt, its more up towards the front shaft.

the front shaft is in there, but i was told to cut the shaft to where it'd sit flush, and just leave it in there and use a freeze plug and all that jazz.

I'm pretty sure I got advice from total hack jobs; I see this after the fact.

Should I jb weld this hole shut, in turn jb'ing the shaft in the block? I have another block to build anyway, don't care if I have to toss this if it fails.
