1G Removing keyless entry module and cruise control ECU

Does anybody know if i can get rid of the keyless entry module and all of the wires associated with it? And also can i remove the Cruise Control ECU at the passenger side foot well?

You can pull all your keyless entry crap with no issue at all, be sure to pull the horn for it too mounted on the firewall. As for the CC ECU at the passenger side foot well, thats not a CC ECU thats your ABS.

No that is not my ABS. my car never had ABS i looked up the part number and it is the Cruise ECU

abs is located behind the driver side headlight. just throwing that out there

Yes that is the part number.

I looked through the Mitsu wiring diagrams and it looks like you CANNOT remove the MB942485, the VSS is wired through it to the ECU.

Thats no fun, i wish the car was running right now so i could pull it and take it for a drive to find out.

I did a little bit of searching and I think I found where its located on the passenger side. I've never seen it on my car but when I leave work today I'll try to find it and unplug it to see what happens on the drive home, I'll let you know.

Pulled the plug and drove the car home, no CEL or dummy light came on and my speedo worked just fine. Pull the damn thing...
