I have in injen intake pipe. I want to put a cap in the recirculation tube but i have no idea where to find one. I tried various auto stores in the area and noone has one big enough. Anyone know where i can find one online? I just want to cap it off till i order a new intake pipe w/o the recirculation tube.

Thanks

your car will run like shit with out that hooked up. for the sake of not making your car bog or die at intersections, hook it back up.

Guys... He's just simply wanting to know how to cap that hole.
I know you two are trying to help and honestly you know I agree with you both fully. But just kinda help him if you can. I say stay recirculated also, but hey... so do 12k+ turbo'd dsm owners on this site.;)

:(
With that being said...

You can cap that off with multiple things. If you can find a 35mm camera film bottle (that the film goes in) it fits over it. Just remember that whatever you put over it make sure you get a clamp and go back over it. We don't want any leaks.

Car does not die at intersection and it idles just fine. Only issue is running rich between shifts from dumping metered air. I have the HKS bov and i am sick of the compressor surge i am getting from it. So until my Maf Translator setup gets here i decided to just go ahead and vent for the time being.

www.mvpmotorsports.com If you look in my gallery you will see the cap they sent me with my HKS SSQV. Are you sure what your hearing is compressor surge? The HKS makes a fluttering sound under low boost that can sound similar.

I know that sound....I get the surge when i hit like 3/4 throttle and let off...I always thought it was the 40mm wastegate causing this but I am being told it is compressor surge. Either way teh car stutters for a couple of seconds and then all is normal. If i go full throttle and let off all is fine...I am stumped to what is casuing this so i focused my efforts on venting to try to stop it.

Where do i look on that page?

Your best bet is to call them. Ask them about the cap that comes with the vented kit. I'm not sure exactly what it is but they will most likely know what your talking about. If you need I can take a picture of the cap and email it to you.

i put an apexi bov on my car and vented.

it ran perfect in town, but on the interstate i was totally dicked.

espicially with the cruise control on. each time it would build a few psi and then drop back down, it would sputter and blow fuel out the exhaust ;) mega rich.

but driving in town shifting normal, i had NO problems minus a slight rich situation that lasted a 2 seconds
