Why is my recirculation tube not connecting to my greddy Type RS BOV?

Ok, well I've been driving vented lately, and my car idles like shit. Yeah I know, I should recirculate it, and thats what I did at first, but the tube is too long, and not the right shape.

I got it to fit, but its a really tight fit between the intake piping,and the BOV. So tight that its basically bending the recirc. tube so that no air can basically get through it. Well only a little.

I know its not okay, because it sounds VERY quiet. The stock plastic one sounded louder. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to get it to fit and still have room where it doesn't bend. I don't want to cut the recirc. tube, because if I ever plan to sell the BOV, then I can't go back to stock.

Any help would be much apprciated.

Theres a recirculation kit for the RS? I asked the guy where I bought it from, (actually I didn't buy it, it was a gift from a friend) but they guy said it'll fit right up to the recirc. tube.

It came with the little blue metal piece that you put at the end of the BOV, ones to vent, and the others to put the recirc. tube on.

What exactly does the recirc. kit look like? I was unaware that there was a recirc. kit, because the shop i bought it from said it is a recirc. kit...

Oh ya, theres a recirculating kit. I just did a quick search over at extremepsi.com, and they offer the rs with or without the recirculator kit. I'm sure other shops sell them, but here's a link.

wait a minute, i do have the recirculation kit, i have both those blue peices your bolt up to the BOV. The recirc. tube is just too long. But yea I guess I'll go to some autoparts store and have a look there.

Thats exactly what I did, costed me lik 8 bucks and I got a perfect fit from a radiator joint. After you recirc, soften up the bov and you will hear the whoosh nice and loud again, not as loud as vented but a hell of a lot more audible then it probably is.

okay, well I went to an autoparts store and they said they had none to sell to me, after they looked at the recirc. tube. What size radiator joint shouldI get?

If the hose you have to reciculate is too long maybe you could cut it a little bit so it doesnt kink, just a thought.

Well I dont really want to cut any stock parts, because if I ever go to sell the car I want to revert back to stock.

Got me kind of pissed because the autoparts store wouldn't sell me any radiator joint piping, because they said it wasn't for the car.

Baxters autoparts? I get a discount from them if I buy anything, thats why I went there, but they seem'd to think that I wanted a direct fit radiator hose. They only have radiator hoses in the back. So I had to ask them, and they asked me size diameter it is.

Does anyone know what size the tube is?

Then one of the sales people came out to my car to take a look at it since I didn't know, and he said there was no radiator tube that will bend like that...what to do?

You could cut the stock recirculator tube. A new one straight from Satan is only about $11, if you ever want to get another one to convert back to stock. Just a thought.

Just cut the stocker to fit. Then pick up a new one at your local Mitsu dealer, so you can go back to stock if need be, their cheep.

ive seen a metal pipeing used for the recirculator tube and it sounded loudeR then a rubber one and had a nice sound to it? but with your case i doubt it would fit.
