Does Greddy's Type RS bov now come with a recirculation kit? I read months ago that Greddy planned to release the recirculation kit, but not until January of next year. However, i was checking out Dejon Tool's website when i came across "New! Greddy Type RS and 29mm Recirc Tube- $199". I checked out Greddy's website and indeed they mention a 29mm outlet adapter, is this like a "dump tube" or a recirculation outlet? I even stumbled onto dsmparts.com and noticed that they now offer the Type RS bov Kit as well as just the BOV. If anyone has a recirculated Type RS, please post pics as well as comments/opinions about this particuliar bov. :thumb:

Wat is so good about these type rs bov, cuz I order a set of type S and received type RS. Don't seem to work as well as the S series. This work similar to our stock bov by reversing it.

Type RS sucks. :notgood:

sorry dude, but I have no clue what you just said. Maybe try english next time? Also, he didn't ask wether he should get the Type-RS or the Type-S, he asked about the recirculation kit for the Type-RS.

To answer the previous question: I haven't seen a type-RS come WITH the recirculation kit, but I know kits are sold seperately. A friend or mine is running the type -RS with the recirculation kit, but I'm sure he dind't spend $200 on it because that's just rediculous.

Hey thanks for the help everyone. Still looking for pics of the RS recirculated setup if anyone has them.

perhaps you could elaborate. How "doesn't it work as well as the S series"? reversing what? Or Is it perhaps the "cool" high pitch sound from the Type-S that makes it better than the RS in your opinion?

Anyone else have opinions/comments on their experience w/ the Type RS bov?

I'm interested as well. I can't decide if I want an RS or an S, or even the SSQV which has come down in price to about the level of the greddy products.

All can recirculate. But the RS and SSQV need the adapters - which are availiable in different forms from many different vendors. Also you better hope your stock hose fits, I've not seen any aftermarket dump tubes. If someone else has please post a link.

But really, everyone seems so hot on giving the thumbs down to a cool sounding bov.. when really the sound is the only thing that sets them apart. Sure some, such as the SSQV, operate under a completely different principle but the function remains the same. It's my opinion that almost any bov will perform just as well as another. SO, why not pick one that sounds best to your ears?

I just picked up a 1g bov and flange for my stock piping, but I already miss the whistle of my stock 2g bov. And so do the girls :sneaky: Believe it or not my car and I'm sure many of yours (considering this is dsmtuners) is a license to leer at young girls. But I did get it knowing I would change it out for something better once I upgraded my piping. I definitely appreciate being able to boost over 13 lbs now. :dsm:

Seriously what are you talking about? I have the new type rs blow off valve and i am very satisfied with it. It sounds good and does its job of relieving compressor surge. Dont listen to this guy. Its a good blow off valve. The recirc. kit is available at most dsm vendor sites.

i bought the type rs a week or so after it hit the market. i swapped from a blitz to atm. to this rs recirc. i am very satisfied with this bov. no, its not the loudest on the market, but who cares. it has an upgraded valve spring to 40mm. the type S has a 38mm. itll just hold more boost pressure without leaking. anyway, extremepsi has a recirc kit for the type rs. when i bought mine there was not one available so i made my own. so if u feel creative just check back a month or 2 ago and check out my thread on building your own recirculation kit for the type rs bov. well hope this helps u out.

Just curious bro, your 2g stock BOV made a noise.. and you miss it? hehe.. Mine was a near silent plastic peice of CRAP that I am GLADLY rid of.

I guess they started making metal ones after 95. I didn't reference the "differences between year models" post before replying.

My dejon upper pipe was leaking at the throttle body elbow due to the paper thin flange being severly warped. I got a great deal on a set of hahn pipes on ebay and it included a type s bov. I swapped the pipes only to find that the type s leaks like crazy. I've tryied everything possible and it still leaks. I miss my 1gbov already. I'm thinking about getting the RS one but fear I'll have the same problems as the type s. Those of you who have RS, have you had any problems with surge or leaks? I could care less about the sound. I actually like them quiet. As long as they perform I'll be happy.
