Rear o2 Sensor?

The rear o2 is too far back.
Your best bet would be to plug the o2 hole, and put the wideband in the front o2 bung with a copper heatsink and simulate the narrowband with v3.
 
We installed the wideband sensor in the rear o2 hole on my buddy's 2G a few summers ago. This was originally intended to be a temporary spot, but it worked great. The car had a gutted cat (in place for PA visual inspection), and we simply turned off the CEL for the OEM rear sensor using Link.

It's not too far back- there are cars without widebands installed that are dyno-tuned using a wideband sensor placed in the muffler, clear at the back. Works fine as long as you're not running a cat.

Leave it to Jus to clear that up. I had actually been wondering if using the Rear 02 placement would be beneficial/feasible but dared not ask, only look. Haha.

That is an awesome picture though. I would have never guessed as much.
 
The reason I say it's too far back, is there are many spots for an exhaust leak (flex section, 3 extra gaskets) and the distance can cause a delay in the gauge.

It will work though.
 
The rear is fine to use as you don't have the cat installed as Justin mentioned. The only issue that would arrise is there is more places for exhaust leaks to occur which will throw the reading off, i.e. flex section.

The front o2 is an excellent spot especially being that the closer to the combustion chamber you are, the more accurate the readings will be. There is no need for a heat sink either. If you choose the front, enable narrow band simulation. If the rear, then uncheck the CEL check for the rear o2.

Well I have decided to go with the front. How would I enable narrowband simulation?
