Is this alright routing this throttle cable behind (instead of under) the IM and not bolt it down. Meaning there is no brackets (like there were on top of the fuel rail) bracing the Throttle Cable to the fire wall. There is no binding or rubbing anywhere. Here are some pictures:

Here are a few pictures of how my cruise line is if anyone wants/needs to see it. Where it disappears, it goes towards the block and under the intake manifold (contrary to my previous post).

Any cable off a non cruise galant or diamante will work and you can get it for $10 from the junkyard.

Thanks. But with my time constraints, I won't be able to dig through the bone yards. Plus I have a stigma about using used parts from wrecked cars....

Anyone have link to SMT? I called SlowBoy to do a parts check, but they're closed today.

Sorry: quick update.

I was able to locate a warehouse in LA that had the cable under a several inches of dust. So it's ordered and should arrive by Tuesday. I'd still be curious what the Hyundai # is (just as reference for the next person who need to sarch for it).

Thanks for all the responses.

I have had to replace the throttle cable in my 98 eclipse 2 times in the last month any ideas as to what might be causing the problem:dsm:
