Is this alright routing this throttle cable behind (instead of under) the IM and not bolt it down. Meaning there is no brackets (like there were on top of the fuel rail) bracing the Throttle Cable to the fire wall. There is no binding or rubbing anywhere. Here are some pictures:

So if you do the non cruise cable, and you take the cruise control box out, you just run it into the throttle body or what? I have never done anything like this, but the flipping it does make sense. Is there a way to do this without the non cruise cable as well?

Can you please explain better, I dont understand how you are doing it with the pictures.

I think he means he wants it to turn to the right instead of left.

If the cable is pointing in the other direction, how can it pull the butterfly open??

The throttle cable stays attached to the firewall like it always is - the cable points towards the pass. side of the car. All he changed is where the cable routes. Instead of routing it up over the intake manifold and run along the fuel rail, he just stuffed it below the intake manifold. It still functions like normal, you just don't see the cable on the top.

Yes, the cable just runs from the pedal, through the firewall, straight to the throttle body. You still bolt the cable down to the intake manifold like normal. You could probably do this with a cruise control cable too (the one that goes from the cruise control box to the tb) - the only limiting factor would be the length.

Bingo. I was just asking if I need to brace the cable some way.

Thank you.

And yes, this is a non CC cable and I don't believe that you can use your factory CC cable for a cruise control delete (as shown in my pictures).

That ground wire usually goes to the firewall. It's a factory ground wire that you can attach anywhere on the im.
