Throttle Cable. Convert Cruise-Control to Non-Cruise

So I need a new throttle cable, and i would rather not have the mess of cruise control all together. What will i need if anything extra other than a non-cruise control throttle cable? Do i need the box from a non? Hopefully someone else has done this (i dont think i've used cruise control at all the last 5 years i've had this car!)

just the cable is all you need and you will have to secure the excess slack. Also some have also modified their cruise cable to run straight to the throttle body with out the box just like a non cruise.
