Anyone know who sells these? I tried the local parts store and a dealer to no avail.

Im sorry if this is a dumb question. I have a 1995 GST and I have seen this topic often. I am not sure as to why people change the throttle cable. I disconnect m cruise control and never changed out my throttle cable. Just un hooked and unbolted the Cruise Control. Someone please explain.

Reason bein is because removing everything makes the engine bay cleaner .

Multiple reasons:

-It saves some weight
-Engine bay clutter
-Ugly useless box
-People need a new cable sometimes, sticking binding etc, and easier and cheaper than buying cruise control, which I dont think are available anymore.

On my last 1g I removed the box but kept the original Gas pedal to cruis box cable. I just unhooked it from the cruise box and just ran it to the throttle. It worked fine. But the little round thing at the end didn't fit the throttle plate arm just perfect, so I always thought maybe one day it could come out. That is why I got a non cruise cable this time around.

Okay so by me just taking my Cruise Control out and not changing the throttle cable it doesn't affect anything, correct?

What car can I get the non cruise cable from? I didn't know if I can get it from a 420a because the motor is turned opposite.

Got mine from a 1g without cruise. Im sure there are many cars that will work, some are already mentioned. Just look at what is on your car then go look at cars in the junkyard and find one that looks like it will do the job.

Does anybody know for sure if the non cruise cable for a 420a fits a 4G63?

it seems kind of a silly question but If I can get a straight answer from someone with experience on that subject would help alot, thanks!!!

Yes, my non cruise cable came from a 420a. Works great and its super short in length. I tucked it under the intake manifold so you cant see nothing.
