Anyone know who sells these? I tried the local parts store and a dealer to no avail.

Just an FYI.....I got my non cruise cable for $20 from RockAuto. Came in OEM bag with Mitsu sticker / part number

can i have the part number from rock auto, just want to make sure i get the correct one. thanks

Just get the cable from 94+ Mirage non cruise. Search on their site and theres a wholesaler closeout...its 10 bucks for the cable and I think shipping was $8 something.

If anyone cares, here's a follow-up to this......

I grabbed one of those '94 Mirage 1.8 non-cruise cables. For $15 I wasn't too worried if it didn't fit. Long story short, a '94+ Mirage throttle cable does fit on a 1g 2.0. Couple little details though.

The brass guide that spits out of the firewall is shaped differently than the DSM cables. The cruise and non-cruise cables on the 1g DSMs are angled to avoid the clutch master cylinder. Below is a 1g cruise and the new Mirage cable guide on the right.

The Mirage cable hits the clutch reservoir though, but if you orient the Mirage cable guide upside down, it will fit.

The Mirage cable will follow a different path compared to the 1g OE non-cruise cable. I have a Laser w/o cruise from the factory and the cable routes up and over the throttle body. The Mirage cable will route under the throttle body and IC pipe elbow. Not a big deal though.

Lastly, I tried to adjust things for a while, but ended up having to mount the cable bracket pretty close to the final spring pulley on the throttle body. No biggie. Here's where I mounted the bracket on the intake.
